I sat on the bed, watching as Calix checked the room. "What happened to our luggage?" He turned towards me walked closer.
"Otto and Felix have it, I didn't feel like carrying it around while we explored. You ready to go back out?" I nodded my head, and got up slightly, only to sit back down immediately. "Where should we go first? Do you want to do a boat tour?"
"Yes! That sounds like so much fun! Can we also go see the Chocoversum?" He looked at me in confusion, "The choco what?"
"The Chocoversum! It's like a museum but about chocolate. They show you how chocolates made and all that and they have a shop!"
He walked over to me and gently grabbed my chin, mischief flooding his eyes. "Why would I go there when I have all the chocolate I need right here?"
I rolled my eyes as my lips broke out in a smile. "Haha, very funny, but seriously, can we go?" He dropped his hand from my chin and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't see why not. Is there anything else you wanted to do? We'll probably head for my grandpas in a couple days after we've had some fun."
"Yeah there's another place I heard of, the wild park Schwarze burge? I'm probably not saying that right, but it's a park where you can feed the animals and stuff."
"Alright, we'll go there too sometime this week. You ready?" I nodded my head and stared to get up, but stopped myself.
"Actually Wait." He furrowed his eyebrows, looking at me in confusion. I fiddled with my fingers in my lap as our earlier interaction played in my head.
Something was off. I hated his reaction when I asked when I was going to meet his grandpa. He seemed so... tense.
"What is it?" I patted the spot next to me on the bed, signaling for him to sit down. He looked at me cautiously and slowly walked over. He sat down next to and I turned towards him, looking in his green eyes.
"Are you okay? It seems like since I've mentioned your grandpa you've been a bit tense..." his eyes that were filled with caution and curiosity softened as I spoke.
"Yeah, don't worry. Im Fine." I left it at that. I knew that if I tried to pry more it would only lead to him becoming irritated. "Okay, well is your leg feeling fine?"
He gave me a small nod, "Yeah, it doesn't hurt as much I guess. It hasn't been bothering me lately though. It's not like it's the first time I've gotten shot." I internally cringed as the image of him getting shot flashed through my mind.
"Don't worry about me, I'll always be just fine. I promise I'm only impulsive and reckless when it comes to you." I smiled and shook my head, letting out a small sigh.
"Okay then, lets go." I got up, but stopped when I felt a hand tugging me back. I turned around to look at Calix, a charming smile adorning his face.
He yanked me towards him, causing me to fall on top of him. We let out small bits of laughter as we looked at each other.
Our laughter became small breathes as I felt his hands roam up and down my waist. His eyes flashed with adoration and worry as he looked at me.
"Hey Eleanor?"
"Yes?"
"I promise I'll always love you, no matter what. Will you do the same?" I brought my face to his and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
"I promise I'll always love you, no matter what." A soft smile danced on his lips as he looked at me. "Alright, lets go before someone breaks into our car."
I let out a small giggle and got up to grab my coat. "Alright Im ready!"
