I watched as his smile began to fade away, I hated that. I hated this situation, there was always something. Always this or that, me or him, it was always something. Always.
"I'll handle it, while I'm gone, stay in this room. Don't do anything stupid, don't open this door for anyone but me. Lock the door behind me. Got it?" I nodded my head and watched as he walked out of the door.
I walked over to the door, and twisted the lock, doing as he said. I sat in the room, watching the door, waiting, worrying. I always worried about him.
I could hear a bang at the door, "Open up, it's me." I jumped up from the bed and ran to the door, swinging it open. My eyes met with his. My heart plummeted to my stomach as I looked at him, his cold, vacant eyes, splashes of blood prominent on his face and his clothes.
"We need to leave." He grabbed my hand and began pulling me out of the room, "Wait but what about our stuff?" He ignored me and continued to drag me through the mansion. He opened the front door with one hand, while still holding my hand in the other.
I could feel the cold breeze run over us, blowing the scent of blood towards me. I could feel bile crawling up my throat. I opened my mouth, taking a deep breath, subduing my urge to puke.
He shoved me in the car and quickly got in, stepping on the gas. The lights that lit up the night became bright globs as he sped, switching lane to lane. "Calix, I don't know what's going on but please, calm down. You're scaring me."
"Calix? What happened back there?" He gripped the steering wheel making his knuckles turn a bright white. "I tried talking to him about it, he wasn't in the mood to negotiate. Neither was that weird bitch" he let out a humorless chuckle "What kind of freak wants to get married to the person who killed her fucking grandpa? And I know your ex is going to be all over your ass, fuck!" He slammed his hands on the steering wheel, pressing down on the gas even more.
I rested my hand on his, rubbing his knuckles gently, "I love you Calix, don't worry, it'll be okay." His tense body began to relax, and soon we arrived in a secluded area, far from humanity. The only things in site were a garage, and a large jet.
He put the car in park, and looked over at me. "If I'm not back in 5 minutes, go on without me." His eyes shined as he looked at me, his plump pink lips forming a line. "I can't do that Calix, I won't-" he slammed his hand against the steering wheel, cutting me off.
"Fuck Eleanor! Listen! I have a fucking bounty on my head right now, they'll do whatever it takes to get rid of me, so please Eleanor, please. Do as I say, can you promise me that?"
I nodded my head, "I understand. I love you Calix." He took my chin in his hand, "I love you too. I should be back, but if I'm not within 5 minutes..." I nodded my head, "Go on without you, alright." I watched as he got out the car, and disappeared in the garage.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, God please let him come back soon. A few minutes later, Calix walked out of the garage and to my side of the car. "Lets go baby, we're heading to a safe house for a while. I need to work some things out while we're there but we should be back home within 2 months.
I nodded my head and sighed, "Well let's go then!" I took his hand, and walked with him into the Jet.
