ALEC'S POV

"Good morning Alexander."

I turned to look at Magnus. "Morning."

"You go back to the Institute today. Your parents will be gone." He frowned a little.

"I, yeah. I do. They need me. I wish that they didn't. There have been multiple demon attacks but my parents have been going on those missions. I wish I could stay..." I frowned.

Magnus sighed. "You could stay here and I could portal you back as soon as you need to be there."

"Magnus, I can't. I really wish that I could but, it's just not possible." I grabbed his hands and looked into his eyes. "I will be over here any chance that I can get. You can come to the Institute whenever you feel like it. You don't know how much I want to stay, but it's just not possible." I stood up.

"Well, now that that's settled, let's get some breakfast." He walked briskly out to the kitchen. I felt bad about what I had said, even though it was the truth. I looked at my arm and smelled it, sleep sweat. Ick. I had to shower.

Magnus had a lot of soap in the shower. He had mint, coconut, apple, strawberry, vanilla, lavender, and more scents of everything. I grabbed the coconut stuff and used it. It was better than smelling like strawberries all day long. I can't imagine how bad the taunting from Jace would get.

I showered as quickly as possible and wrapped a towel around my waist just as Magnus yelled that breakfast was ready. I walked out and set the table.

"I told you, that's my job, Alexander." He shook his head at me.

"All right, I'll bring them back." I began picking them up to put them away when I felt an invisible arm grab me. "Magnus! Hey!" I was laughing as he put the plates back on the table and set me down in a seat. "You're a very controlling person Magnus. What in the world is up with that?"

He just shrugged and used his magic to feed me. I tried to grab the fork out of the air but he had magicked me to my chair. I couldn't move. "Magnus, what if I have to go to the bathroom?"

"Oh well. I guess we're going to have to deal with it." He continued feeding both of us.

There was a knock on the door and Magnus lost his concentration. I leaped up and ran to the door. It was Jace.

"Um... was I interrupting something?" He looked at my bare chest and the towel that was around my waist.

"Um, uh, no?" That sounded like a stupid question.

"Well actually..." Magnus started to try to make Jace uncomfortable by saying the things that were in his mind. He succeeded in making me and Jace uncomfortable.

"Um, no actually I just took a shower..." He didn't hear what I was saying because he was already talking.

"There was a greater demon attack and he continues coming back. Your parents haven't left, I know, but we really need your help with this. We have to send him back to hell where he belongs. We've lost four Shadowhunters already and that's not counting the ones injured and the downworlders. We actually need both of you." He was breathless by the time he finished.

"I guess we better go, Alexander." He snapped his fingers and my towel was gone. Replaced by ripped black jeans, a black leather jacket, and a sparkly red shirt. I glared at him. "Okay, okay." He snapped his fingers again I was wearing a black shirt.

Him on the other hand... Well, he looked stunning. Dressed usually in his exotic choice of attire he looked beautiful. His hair was spiked up and had the ends dyed blonde. He had his snake earring in today and nails painted black. His shirt was unbuttoned almost all of the way and was slightly see through. His shirt was a maroon and gold color. He had four necklaces on and multiple rings. His eyeliner was light today. He looked absolutely magnificent.
