Two truths and a Lie

"Chamille?" Cole let go of her in surprise. "But I thought you had form, not invisibility?"
"I don't. But Torali doe- how did you know about that?" Chamille rubbed her arms, one of which bore the Redback's symbol.
"I guessed?" Cole bit his lip, also receiving some curious looks from the others. Nya had calmed down and gone inside to get Kai fixed up.
"Anyway, what made you choose Redback? We knew you'd turned bad, but, Him?" Jay crossed his arms. The only thing he knew about Redback's plan was that he wanted to get rid of Cole. That was it. What would Chamille gain from it? Killing one of the people that saved her life and her power? Or was she still salty about him and Jay fighting alongside each other causing them to be forced to sleep in the most uncomfortable beds ever. He highly doubted that though. Or had Redback promised her something if she worked for him?
"If I was properly working for him wouldn't I have tried to escape by now?" Chamille raised her eyebrows, the corner of her mouth curling into a half smile, she sighed, seeing that they weren't in the mood for jokes and lowered her tone, incase Redback could hear. "I don't really work for Javan."
"Then Wh-" Zane began, but was waved down by Cole.
"I'm just about to get onto that part Nindroid." She hissed. "I was sent by your sensei after what happened to poor Cassie. He didn't know anyone else as reliable."
Cole became teary after the mention of his mother's name but shrugged it off, not wanting to disturb Chamille's story. She continued.
"I managed to secure a place as Javan's most trusted shortly after Cole began training with Wu and I've been a spy for both parties ever since- hold on Javan wants to talk to us. Well... The arachnites."
She paused as the tattoo on her neck began to glow and her eyes flashed red. Cole's burnt slightly then he too fell into the trance of arachnite communication. Now Cole knew that he was one of Redback's arachnites, but how he got the tattoo he was still unsure. Wouldn't be have known he'd had it? Why was it only then it was starting to show up? Baffled he listened into their conversation, making sure not to give himself away, just incase Redback didn't know about the tattoo, which was unlikely.
"You alright Tori?" Hearing Redback's voice have him a chill down his spine.
" Yeah I'm good. The Ninja haven't done anything to awful to me yet. " Chamille replied, her voice a little more husky than usual.
"Good." Redback sounded relieved. " Any idea of an escape plan yet? "
"Nah, not yet, though I still can't believe Eros left me like that though. Unbelievable."
"Hey, not all of us can see ya know." A deep voice chuckled, it was soft and tranquil and he spoke in a slow, calm tone. "How was I supposed to know what was going on?"
"I know Eros, I'm joking." Chamille sighed. "I'll speak to you guys later, I can hear Jay coming down the stairs." I
"Who?" Redback replied. Cole was surprised he didn't know the others' names. They were quite famous! All over New Ninjago Cities billboards and everything! How could he not know their names? Unless he never really paid attention.
"Jay! The blue one!" When there came no response she sighed heavily. "Motor mouth! Y'know, Libber's son!"
"Oh! That one." Redback let out a short laugh. "Anyway, I will speak to you soon hopefully."
Libber's son... Wait... Weren't Ed and Edna Jay's parents? Cole had overheard Jay and Nya having a conversation about how at some point he found out how his parents weren't his real parents. Was it true? His eyes reverted back to normal as he turned to Chamille who had just been released too. She looked at him confused and then turned back to the other two, staring at Cole in disbelief. They continued staring at each other before Nya could be heard calling for assistance. Zane offered to go and then ran inside.
"Okay you two have gotta explain what happened then." Jay demanded after Zane left.
"Both of us?" Chamille's tilted her head at him.
"You both froze and then your eyes turned red. What's up with that?" Jay explained, raising his eyebrows.
"Well, it's what happened when Redback wants to contact us. We have a communication system which only allows arachnite to converse with one another." Chamille turned towards Cole. "But how did it- of course! Your Cassie's son! Obviously you would have inherited her powers!"
"That'll explain- oh um, I'm not gonna go into too much detail with that." Cole rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
