Week 4: Day 2

Maddie got ready for her second date with Diego. She curled her hair and applied some makeup before settling on a crop top with blue jean shorts and sandals.

[Maddie Confessional:
"Today is my second date with Diego, and everything has to go perfect. We are two weeks away from the finale and, right now, we are determining our future. Do we walk away from 'Paradise' as a couple, or single? I hope as a couple, but we have to see how he feels."]

"Proxy!" Maddie said as she ran toward Diego, engulfed him in a hug and wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Hey Madd! How are you?"

[Diego Confessional:
"Proxy is her nickname for me. I don't know why. I don't even know what it means."]

"I'm good, how are you?" Maddie asked back.

"I'm great!" Diego replied, kissing Maddie. "So, today we are going to see a play."

"Ooh!" Maddie said, jumping up and down and clapping. "What are we seeing?"

[Maddie Confessional:
"I never do that. Oh no, Proxy's changed me!"]

"'A Family Reunion to Die For,'" Diego responded.

"Oh, I've never seen that one! Come on, let's go!"

Maddie took his hand and ran toward the limo that would be taking them to the play.

Sophie sat at the bar, twirling her straw in her drink.

[Sophie Confessional:
"I don't know how I've stuck around for this long. I think I'm gonna go home."]

She then abruptly stood up and walked around. She saw Emma and Jax by the pool, so she walked toward them.

"Excuse me, do you know where Chris Harrison might be?" she asked the couple.

They pointed in the direction that Chris was in. Sophie walked toward the host of the show.

"Chris, everyone is paired up but me. And Andi is safe from elimination this week, so I'm definitely going home. I just decided it wasn't worth it to wast everyone's time here by sticking around."

"Is that really what you want to do?" Chris asked her. She nodded. "Okay then. Pack your bags. We enjoyed having you here."

"I enjoyed being here."

Sophie walked back to her room and packed her bags.

She didn't realize she was crying.

"I can't believe it was the mime!" Maddie exclaimed.

"I know, right? I suspected it to be that critic at first, but then the mime made perfect sense!" Diego replied.

The two were at dinner.

[Diego Confessional:
"Talking to Maddie is so easy. She makes me so comfortable."]

"Proxy, I have a serious question."

"Okay, shoot."

"I love you so much. And I want to know if you want to leave Paradise with me or not."

Diego took Maddie's hand. "Madd, of course I want to leave here with you. Over these four weeks, you've become my best friend. I love you, too, Madd. Don't ever doubt that."

Diego kissed her.

[Maddie Confessional:
"Yeah. He's a keeper."]

He held out the rose for her. "Maddie, will you accept this rose?"

"With all my heart."

Chris had pulled the remaining contestants into the bungalow.

"I don't have a date card for you guys," Chris told them.

Everyone murmured in confusion.

"Sophie sent herself home, so there will be no rose ceremony this week. You guys are off for the rest of the week."

Everyone left the bungalow confused, but happy they got to live to see another week.
