Nancy POVI followed Arnav Singh Raizada to the poolside. Only a step away from him I watched the life drain out of him. The door to his soul the infamous chocolate orbs were lifeless and the drooped shoulders of his screamed defeat.
The impact of my words had left him all speechless. His decision was wrong yet again. And this time the matter was not of his pride or ego but the iron clad heart of Arnav. The silence around ASR was too loud to bear still I gave him time to compose himself and express what he was feeling. It seemed like kismet plunged him into darkness and this time it was all his doing. Five long minutes later Arnav Raizada turned to face me. I gasped loudly as tears pooled in his now guiltfilled eyes but then looked away to stare at the shimmering pool. I can neither sympathize with the guy nor can I ignore him. Damnnn.
"I...I....What Have I...I...I ruined....no no no. I destroyed...the new emotions....we were a step away...She and I....How could I??"
With words woven in incoherence Arnav finally emerged from behind the mask of ASR. I did not even feel like whooping out of victory...he looked that miserable. But I was not done yet. He was still unaware of the consequences of his one single decision. ASR had to know the extent to which he had ruined things for Khushi Kumari Gupta. I mean is not that the purpose of this visit of mine?
"Now the other thing. I hate Khushis maternal family, adoptive parents never do things that they did in the show."
I declared changing the subject all of a sudden. With cascading tears he fell on the chair adjacent to his plants. Maybe he wanted to be around his mother and the greenery helped."What...what do you mean?"
His curious tone told me that I had his full attention."Haah. Dude you have no clue about the Guptas do you? I mean they always prefer Payal over Khushi. Are you aware that she only got engaged to Shyam under family pressure? Or that she was just termed as bad blood due this sudden marriage act of yours?"
"They...they FORCED HER. WHY? WHY DID THEY DO THAT? OH GAWDDDD. THEY CALLED HER BAD BLOOD? NO NO NO. ARE THEY INSANE?"
He stood up with rage reflecting in his eyes. The tears were almost dry now.A slight chuckle escaped my lips hearing his words. The glare that I received in return was not a happy one.
"What? You cannot use that word for them when clearly you hurt and humiliate her every single time buddy? Too hypocrite of ya."Color vanished from his face. It seemed like my words hit the wrong nerve and his jaw fell with a splash in the pool. Metaphorically only. Hehe. Truth hurts huh. Well being Khushi Gupta is not so easy Mr. Raizada. Being on the other side takes a lot of strength. And you cannot simply give up in minutes.
"You are only in Khushis body Nancy and still every word of yours feels like a walk on burning coal, on a bed of broken mirrors...."
His voice trailed and I totally understood the incomplete sentence....a walk on burning coal on a bed of broken mirrors and when Khushi will actually accuse me that day I will probably die with this excruciating pain.
"You do know that what you have done cannot be mended within a click of a finger? It will take ages for Khushi to even trust you forget about forgiveness dude. And love thats totally out of question. Atleast not for several months. What..? its a calculative answer."
I stated giving him the harsh truth. I know I am being pretty brutal but whats the point in sugarcoating the reality.Arnav Singh Raizada exhaled loudly accepting the mirror that I had just shown him.
"How will I tolerate the hatred in her eyes? How??"The uncomfortable fullness in his throat could be heard in every word that he whispered in such a tone that was foreign to me.
