Chapter 29 - Mending Relationships

It was 1:15 when she woke up. She had over slept. She grabbed her phone and she had two messages from Annika. One to confirm that they were still meeting and one that said she was there. She apologized and told her that she over slept. She threw on some capris, a cami and some tennis shoes. She put her hat on and headed out.
When she got there Annika didn't see her walk up.

"Hi Nika" said Bianka
She looked up and then she stood up and Bianka grabbed her and they both started crying.
"BE I am so sorry that I messed up your life. I never meant to do anything to hurt you. I made a horrible, horrible mistake by getting involved with Mr. Malone. He was so handsome and so sweet and romantic and all the gifts and attention, he just swept me off my feet. And to be 55 at the time he was so toned and so experienced. I just lost myself in his romance. He took me to Paris and he just spoiled me with affection and then I got pregnant and he said he was going to leave his wife. He said that his decision was not because of me but because of who he could be with me which was himself."

Bianka listened as she talked and realized that Tristan was just like his father and she realized how Annika fell in love with him, because she had fallen in love with his son.

"He would always tell me that I reminded him of his first love Rachel. He said that he was going to marry her until his wife got pregnant. He said his father made him marry her. And after they married she told him that she knew he was going to propose to her and so she stop taking the pill so that she could get pregnant. He said that when he told Rachel about the baby he never heard from her again. And he married what's here name"

"Cara"  said Bianka

"Ok. Well I knew that I didn't love him and he didn't love me, not romantically anyway, we were just having fun. He taught me how a lady should be treated and he said I reminded him that he was still alive. And the things that he used to tell me about her and how she did him was heart breaking. He told me that I was the first and only affair that he had. And they were married I believe 26 years when we had the affair."

Bianka listened but she didn't want to hear anything about Tristan's mother. She knew that she was releasing a burden that she had been carrying for a long time. So she put her feelings aside and listened.

"Bianka, he told me that Cara cheated on him a year before they had Tristan and he didn't think the child was his because she had a year long affair while he was away on business. But he forgave her and believed that the baby was his without question. He said that she went into labor while he was away and the baby was still borne and he cried when he told me. He is such a sweet man. He said Tristan was born a year later and then his daughter two years later. If I remember correctly, his name was Trevor"

"Wow, well I can only imagine what they went through. It must be hard to burry a child. Tristan nor Caly ever mentioned another brother." She grabbed her hand. "Ethan told me that you miscarried and I will not pretend to understand how you felt then or how you feel now. But I apologize for not being available for you during that time."

Annika started crying and shipped her tears. "Nika, everything happens for a reason. Don't blame yourself for losing the baby, for his marriage or for my relationship with Tristan. You are not that powerful. These things happened for a reason. I have accepted this path that I am on. And the more I focus on other people the more I realize that it is not all about me and my feelings. The affair that you and Mr. Malone had, it had nothing to do with me and Tristan. He chose to make it about us. He said some hateful things that hurt me to my core and I tried to be patient and to believe that he was angry but when he mentioned my mother I slapped him and I walked away. I tried. He was angry and I got upset, I gave him and myself a few minutes. You know me when I get heated. So I walked away. I wasn't gone 5 minutes and when I came back Haylee was all over him and I still tried to communicate with him and he just ignored me. So I just let it go. I got my stuff out of his place and I gave him everything he ever bought me except the panties and bras and I took them to his place and left his key."
