Walking through the narrow hallway, Jack could hear a similar voice that he hasn't heard a long time. Several picture frames were hanged on the wall for public display and one caught his attention. He stopped and scanned through the photo for seconds, realizing how fast they grew up. It was a picture of them. He was holding a microphone and Kristoff beside him with a strap of guitar embracing his shoulder. The other two were standing behind them, Eugene with the drumsticks and Hiccup, with his fingers on the keys.

This was years ago and these were the days when everything felt perfectly fine, the old him, the old Jack. After that, it all crumbled down and he saw himself began to detach from who he really is.

Jack groaned under his breath and peered his stare away from the wall. Nearing the bar, he could clearly hear the song being played. The lyrics being sung. It was the same song they usually play during gigs, the difference is that it is an acoustic version of the song which perfectly fits Kristoff's low voice.

Once he reached the inside of the RestoBar, Kristoff ended exactly the time he arrived with a final strum of the guitar strings. The people cheered as expected. There were the clanging of wine glasses and loud consistent clapping. All Jack could do is to watch.

"Another one!" One man yelled while raising his arms at the air.

With active reaction coming from the crowd, they second the motion while cheering the exact words. It was then all people inside were yelling 'another one' in a replay.

"Thank you. I like your enthusiasm but I have run out of songs." Kristoff shrugged his shoulders and sheepishly smiled. "Yeah. My bad."

The crowd awed in disappointment. Watching his friend at the stage giving dumb alibis made Jack smile for a while, he nodded his head with a smirk in his lips. No way he had run out of songs. Kristoff had been the one who inspired him to sing. He's the one who inspired him to pursue vocal training, believing Jack had the potential. He would suggest songs Jack hadn't even heard before. He would unexpectedly sing when they're together doing nothing and hearing his alibi seconds ago was just too impossible.

"Just to make it up to you," Kristoff tightly held the microphone in his hand.

"I have an announcement to make... a special announcement."

The crowd cooed in response. Even Jack had no idea what he was talking about. He wasn't updated about these things and that explains why. Whatever it is, it will be surprising. Knowing Kristoff as a man full of surprises, he wouldn't be startled to know what it is.

"We've got a new friend here," Kristoff gazed below the stage, where the front tables are located.

Jack followed his gaze but ended up unable to see what the commotion was. It was covered from the crowd, all he could see are their backs at him.
