She was unsure

Which pain is worse,

The shock of what happened

Or the ache for what

Never will.

-

Rapunzel felt pain only by thinking about it. She knew, she'll get over it—forget everything and will be able to erase all these fragments of memories but she's wrong. Very wrong.

No matter hard she tries... she just can't.

The weather today is all sunshine and flowers but nothing compares to what Rapunzel feels. The cold morning wind blew and swayed her hair. She's just walking... and walking, waiting to arrive in the destination.

She gazed over her shoulder and at the outside of the gates, parked a black car with all the windows closed. She gazed in front, knowing she is only steps away.

Of course, she was holding a small bouquet of flowers, where she'd bought in a nearby flower shop near their house. It has been her weekly routine ever since that 'accident' happened.

Rapunzel would come here half an hour before her school starts.

The blonde stopped, her head bore down—looking at something on the ground.

The set of red roses had dried and falling into pieces already, that is why she needed to change it weekly... into something new and fresh.

She smiled sadly.

"Hey dad."

Her voice sound barely a whisper.

Rapunzel kneeled down to brush away dried leaves and dusts from the gravestone. She placed the flowers she'd brought at the right upper corner and disposed the old one.

"We really missed you dad," She sniffed and chuckled, trying to disregard the idea that she feels like talking to the wind with no one answering back.

"Mom and I are doing well, but" She paused. "If only you're here... with us then everything will be perfect."

A silvery tear fell on her cheeks and Rapunzel quickly wipes it away using the back of her hand. She didn't know why every time she comes here, she cries the agony away even though it's been... years.

Four years.

But still, the wound is raw and it keeps opening as Rapunzel thought that she had finally shut the door out a long ago.

"Here. I brought you flowers. Mom said that you loved themit makes you smile for no reason... only just by looking at it."

Rapunzel half smiled. She stared in the wilderness, enjoying the peace that surrounded her at the moment. A memory drowned her.

Her father, Frederick Corona, died in a vehicular accident that happened four years ago when Rapunzel was just fifteen years old. That is what they say... that is the only thing her mother said.

Rapunzel didn't saw what truly happened. Piles of academic requirements from her school kept her from seeing the truth—that is what she believes. And the very last time she saw her father was in the funeral. Encased inside a coffin—closed eyes... lifeless.
