Chapter 1

Anna's POV

Uggggh why is my life so bad. For all my 8 years I have been on Earth, I thought that my mom and dad were my real parents, but nope they aren't. I was adopted

* FLASHBACK*

On the first day of class

You walked into the room

I woke up to my alarm playing Tell My Mamma by Christina Grimmie. I shot up to take a shower when I remembered that today is my 8th birthday. I got in the shower and automatically starded Liar Liar by Christina Grimmie. If you can't tell I am kind of obsessed with Christina Grimmie.

I discovered Christina when I looked up Unfaithful by Rihanna. I loved her almost instantly. I finished my shower and got dressed. I didn't know what mom was planing on doing for my birthday so I just put on a grey long sleeved shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans. I went downstairs and was greeted by my dog poofy. I went into the kitchen and mom and dad were talking. But I don't think it was a good conversation.

"Sit down sweety," my mom said. I sat down slowly expecting my chair to explode by my older brother Jake. Jake is 10 years older than my but we always play pranks on each other on our birthdays. Luckily it didn't.

"There is something we have to tell you," my dad told me. Just as he was going to talk again my brother walked in. I could already see the worry on his face. I was nervous already.

"You aren't our real daughter." My mom said suddenly scaring me a little.

"What, No, Your pranking me aren't you?" I asked worried

"I wish we were but we aren't. I think it's time you found out." My dad said. I ran up to my bedroom with Jake following me calling my name.

Me and Jake were close if I needed him he was always there. I tried to fight back the tears but I couldn't. I stopped and ran up to Jake. He picked me up and started rubbing circles on my back. He told me to go get my shoes on because we were going out. By the sound of his voice I could tell he was holding back tears.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

"Anna come on we have to go." I heard Jake say. I grabbed my phone and put.on my Uggs because it was December 16th there was snow outside.

I met Jake at the stairs. He crouched down, signaling for me to get on his back. I smiled and got on his back. While I went to the door to get my coat I heard Jake tell mom he was taking me out. I waited for Jake to put on his coat then we went out to the car. I didn't know where we were going but I was glad to just spend time with my big brother
