Chapter 2

Jakes POV

I got into the car not knowing at all where we were going. I just wanted to get Anna out of the house. I looked over at Anna and I could tell she was thinking about what mom and dad told her. Mom and dad had me but they wanted a girl. They tried and tried but couldn't have another baby. I was 9 when they first told me about adopting a little girl. I didn't care were she came from, I just wanted a little sister to pick on. About a year of searching for the perfect girl, we finally found Anna. We drove from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to Los Angeles California. I never got to see any of Anna's real family but when mom brought out the 6 month old baby to the car I couldn't help not staring at her. She was beautiful.She had light brown hair and blue eyes. I knew she was going to have alot of boyfriends to take care of.

I finally broke the silence.

"Where do you want to go?"

"I don't care, I just want to spend time with you."

I smiled to myself as I pulled into the crowded parking lot of the mall. I just wanted to take Anna to do something she loved doing. Shopping.

Anna's POV

When Jake pulled into the parking lot of the mall, I couldn't help but smile. I got out of the car and ran up to Jake. When he saw how excited I was, he laughed and pulled me onto his back. We got into the mall and I already knew where I wanted to go. Hot Topic. I ran into my favorite section of the store and started looking around. Jake came up to me and told me I could get what ever I wanted. I decided on a new Christina Grimmie hoodie and a pair of sweatpants that said Christina Grimmie down the side.

After we got done at Hot Topic, we decided to go to Taco Bell because neither of us ate anything today.

We spent the rest of the day just talking and shopping. When Jake said we had to go home, I was sad. I had alot of fun today and I didn't want to go home and have to talk to mom and dad.

On the way home I thought more and more about my real family. I was going to ask when I got home but I decided to wait a while. I just hope my real family is as good as the one I got now.
