Chapter 4

Anna's POV

I woke up and looked around. I looked at my alarm clock. It was 6:43 AM. I heard footsteps outside my door. It was probably Jake. I got up and went to take a shower. About an hour later, I went to Jake's room. He wasn't there so I went down stairs to the kitchen to get breakfast. I just got a bowl of fruity pebbles when mom and dad came down stairs with a yellow envelop. They sat down and a second later Jake came and sat down next to me. Mom smiled at me then handed me the envelope. On the envelope there was a sticker that said Anna's real birth certificate.

I knew that this was going to tell me who my real parents are. Was I ready to find out who my real parents were. I didn't want to look but I knew I had to. I opened the envelope slowly and took out the document carefully. I flipped it over and covered the names of my real mom and dad. I looked at my name. Anna Marie Grimmie. I just sat there in shock. I didn't

know wether to believe it or not.

I sat there and started crying. I don't know why I did but I did. Mom, dad, and Jake came up to me and hugged me. All this time I had an unhealthy obsession with my mom.

"We got 5 plane tickets to LA for you." My dad said after we hugged for what seemed like forever.

"5?"

"You,me,mom,dad,and your friend Kira."

Kira has been a big fan of Christina for so long. I can't wait to tell her. I finished eating my breakfast and went upstairs to pack. Even though we didn't leave untill tomorrow, I wanted to be ready.

Jake called me down shortly after I had finished packing. He was taking me over to Kira's house to tell her the news while mom and dad went shopping for random stuff they think I need. I rode silently in the backseat. It was about an hour long drive to her house. I pulled out my phone and opened instagram. I had a direct message from someone. I opened it and saw it was Christina. It was a picture of her whole family and.the caption said, We cant wait to meet you. I shut off my phone and smiled. Even though I was excited to meet Christina Grimmie, I was scared to meet my birth mother.

We pulled into Kira's driveway just as a huge thunder storm started. I ran to Kira's porch, avoiding the rain as much as possible. When I got to her front door, I rang the door bell and waited for an answer. When she opened the door she saw me standing in the rain. She pulled me in and gave me a water bottle. I took the water bottle and went up to her room. I sat her on the bed and told her to sit. As I was looking at all of her Christina Grimmie posters, my palms became sweaty.

"Okay I got to tell you something"

"What is it"

"I found out who my real mom is "

"OMG you did tell me who"

"Okay but you have to promise me you won't freak out"

"I promise"

"Christina Grimmie"

"OH NO ARE YOU KIDDING ME THAT IS AWESOME HO..wait are you messing with me?"

"Why would I do that"

"Because your mean like that"

"I promise that I'm not"

"OMG"

Kira and I talked about the trip for another hour untill Jake came to pick me up. I left Kira to pack but I was going to pick her back up later. Kira was spending the night at my house because we had to go to the airport at 3 in the morning. When we got home I went upstairs to take a nap but I couldn't go to sleep because I was to excited. I finally dirfted off into a peaceful sleep.
