10; Capture

2014 ― Washington D.C.
"Fury, if I wasn't bleeding out right now, I would totally kick your ass."

"It was him."

They had been captured by STRIKE. The four of them all sat in the back of the van while Steve and Katherine were still in shock that it was Bucky who was the Winter Soldier. Bucky killed Fury. . Bucky killed Maria and Howard. He's obviously under some type of mind control, but after seeing his face, the only thing she could see was when he fell from the train.

"He looked right at us, Kath. . like he didn't even know us." Steve said.

"How is that even possible, it was like 70 years ago." Sam said.

"I'm still here. . aren't I?" Katherine said.

"Zola. Bucky's whole unit was captured in '43. Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must've found him and. ." Steve trailed off.

"None of that's your fault, Steve." Natasha said.

"Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky." Steve said. Then Katherine sat back and closed her eyes. She sat next to Steve, while Natasha and Sam sat next to each other across from them. Sam noticed her blood coming through her jacket and looked at one of the STRIKE Agents.

"We need to get a doctor here." Sam said, but they sat unresponsive. "If we don't put pressure on that wound, she's going to bleed out here in this truck." Sam said.

"She's pr. .-" Katherine cut Steve off.

". .-Stop. . don't ever reveal something like that to enemies." Katherine said, weakly.

"You need help." Steve said.

"Not that bad." She whispered back. The one STRIKE Agent cracked their electric baton before plunging it into the officer that sat next to them and kicking them unconscious. The difference between the baton Katherine has and the other Agents have, is that Thor had hers specially made for her from another planet and it was completely industructable, like Steve's shield, and Thor's hammer.

"Ah, that thing was squeezing my brain." Maria Hill said as she took her helmet off.

"Maria. Great to see you. I told you I wasn't ready for this whole leadership thing." Katherine said, which made Maria laugh, and then she looked at Sam.

"Who's this guy?"

Maria led them to a secret bunker in an unfamiliar place. Steve helped Katherine out of the car as she kept pressure on her gunshot wound. Steve had a stabling hand around her waist as they all entered the secret bunker. He was starting to worry about how much blood she lost. She seemed to be holding herself together, but their baby was getting nutrients through her, and he didn't want anything to happen to either of them.

"GSW. She's lost at least a pint." Maria said.

"Maybe two." Sam said.

"And she's pregnant!" Steve said.

"Let me take her." A doctor said, running their way.

"She'll want to see him first." Maria said. Katherine looked over at Maria in surprise. See who first? Maria led them into a room, and when she pulled back the curtain to reveal who was laying on the bed, Katherine didn't know whether to be happy or extremely pissed.

Nick Fury.

"About damn time." Fury said when he saw them.

"Fury, if I wasn't bleeding out right now. I would totally kick your ass." She said. She demanded that she be 'fixed up' in Fury's room, because she needed to hear his explanation of where the hell he's been and why he let them think he was dead.
