You Never Loved Her

You never loved her.

You only loved all the hours she had given you.
You only loved how your heart skipped a beat each time she told you she loved and needed you.
You only loved how tirelessly she chased after you.
You only loved how she was there whenever you felt like watching the sunset or walking under the moonlight.
You only loved how she always takes the blame whenever you fight.

You never loved her.

You only loved all the moments you heard her say you were her world.
You only loved what you got from her.
You only loved how she made you feel.
You never loved her.

You only loved how you broke her heart.
You only loved how you made her cry.
You only loved how you crushed the soul she opened up for you.

You never loved her.

She had been telling herself so, yet there she was, holding your hand, still foolishly wanting not to let go.
