Hyejoo POV
I woke up today on Monday, feeling a little sick. I had a headache and and a fever. My dad already left to work so it was only me and my mom. Chaewon told me she would give the class notes and also talk to Yerim so she could send me the other part of my classes.
It was already 12:00pm and I hadn't ate nothing. My mom made some ramen, so I went down the stairs with caution and sat in the dining room.
"Here Hyejoo, have some orange juice, it will make you feel better! Enjoy the soup!" My mom kissed my forehead.
I spent the day in my bed, watching tutorial videos in YouTube. My mom frequently entered the room to check on me. After a long day of doing nothing, I had to excuse me from work, even if it was my second day there. I'm hoping Kim Jiwoo doesn't get mad.
~DING DONG~
"Hyejoo! Chaewon and Yerim are here! Please, enter girls!"
I went down to the living room as welcomed my friends with a hug, a short one because of my flu. We went to my room and they took out the work from school today.
"Ok Hyejoo! All we did in Robotics was talk, Mrs. Jung was very busy so she left us do whatever we wanted!" Yerim said. Chae took her math textbook saying:
"In Math, Mr. Jeon Jungkook gave us page 40 to 43, due Thursday. It's some easy geometry. Ask me if you need help! Next class was Science... let look for my notebook.." Chae told me while lookin for her notebook.
"Mrs. Park Sooyoung made us write so I'll leave the notebook here... I'm Arts and Crafts we drew and made some things with sticks. In Language Arts we watched a Spanish Documentary! I learned a little Spanish, you know. Houla, Jieju! Mei yamou Cheiwon! See, I know a lot of Spanish!" Yerim and I broke in laughter, Chae started laughing too.
When Yerim and Chaewon finished giving me the homework, we went to the family room. I put on Netflix and started watching Anime. I asked my mom if she could make us popcorn, and of course she agreed.
After a while, Yerim received a message saying to go get her brother from karate.
"Well, I have to go now! My mom asked me again to go pick up Taehyung in Karate. I'll see you tomorrow in school! Goodnight!"
Chaewon also had to leave so the only option for me was to go sleep. I had to rest for tomorrow.
Yerim POV
"You stupid girl! I told you to go do the groceries but still decided to your friend's house! I don't know why you don't follow my instructions!" My step-dad hit me in the face. My brother hid behind the sofa, I felt my cheek swell up.
"Stand up you weak bitch! Go to the market and buy the things I asked you! GO!" I whimpered and quickly left the house. It was raining a lot. When I arrived at SmartShop, I took a shopping cart and entered. I was soaked from all of the rain.
I took the food to cashier and he smiled.
"It's been a ruff day, huh?" The cashier said
"Yeah, sort of..." I put the merchandise in the conveyor belt.
"My name is Hoseok, nice to meet you" He smiled at me.
"I'm Yerim. Uh... how does it all cost?" I said because he had forgotten of my purchase.
"It's 32.56, miss." He bowed while I handed him my card. I giggled at his cuteness. I payed the food and started to put in the plastic bag. I felt Hoseok rap my shoulder so I looked up.
"Uh... can I have your number?" He handed me his phone. My cheeks started to blush. I laughed and gave him my phone, we exchanged our numbers and said bye to eachother. He looked so cute. I kept thinking about him until I arrived at home. My stepdad was probably waiting by the door, ready to hit me. I walked to the door slowly, opening the door with big caution. And as I had imagined, my stepdad suprised me by screaming into my ear.
"WHY DID YOU ARRIVE NOW?! YOU STUPID GIRL SHOULD HAVE ARRIVED 30 MINUTES AGO! YOU DISGUST ME!" He hit me various times. I crawled my body to my room, locking the door. I started crying into my pillow. My phone buzzed so I went to check it. I took out my phone from my purple bag and read my screen.

Starbucks tomorrow? :)

Of course! What hour?
Hoseok☀️:
After school! Meet you there!
Yerim went offline
Hoseok seemed like a good guy. He was so full of joy, even if it was our first encounter. He made Yerim forget about her stepfather... My mother had left me with him and since then, her life in home was hell. I already want it to be tomorrow....
A little late! I'm sorry! I forgot about it yesterday so I finished editing it today and finally posted it now! Thank you for reading! We're so close to 50 reads!
