I wake up to the sound of doors opening and the nurses rushing into the room. I lift up my head and see that the nurses are very happy and clapping. I turn my head to where Hoseok was laying and he was awake! I hugged him and he hugged me back but very softly.
"You're awake! I thought it was going to take more time! The doctor has to see this!" A nurse commented. She exited the room and a few minutes later the doctor entered the room.
"Ah, I see that Hoseok has woken up.... Miss Yerim, you don't have to wait too long, he'll be out in 3 days! With this fast recovery of his, you don't have to worry." The doctor said writing while checking the machines.
"Thank you, Doctor!" The doctor walked out of the room and I looked at Hoseok. "I promise to you Hoseok, when you get out, we're going to eat ice cream and sundaes!" I giggled and he let out a soft laugh.
"That sounds nice..."
Hyejoo POV
Chaewon accompanied me to my work place. When I arrived, it was a very weird....
A big banner was hanging from the ceiling which said: Our Condolences, Hyejoo <3
Everyone was dressed in black with gifts for me in their hands.
"My condolences, Hyejoo.... you should have been in a terrible situation. May your grandpa rest in piece..."
Yeojin handed me flowers and a 'get well soon' card. Jungeun walked towards me and also gave me a gift. She said almost in tears:
"Oh, Hyejoo! Your grandpa shouldn't have left the world in this moment. He must have been a sweetheart, I'm sure.... My Condolen-" and she started ugly crying. Another worker grabbed her and walked her to the kitchen. I didn't know what to say...
"T-thank you? You didn't have to do this, hehe....." I said with the 5 big gifts in my hands. "I'm going to leave this in... the car.." I left the shop and Chaewon followed me.
"What the heck, Hyejoo!? See what a lie does?! Well, at least you got free things?" Chaewon said, letting out a giggle.
"I said it because there wasn't something to say. I was nervous!" I threw the things into the car trunk and walked back to the store. Chaewon said she would pick me up when I finished my turn.
Chaewon POV
I went to run some errands while Hyejoo was working. I went to buy groceries and some clothes for the weekend. It was spring break, so they were free from school. Hyejoo, Yerim, Hoseok and me were planning on going on vacation. Yerim had rented a cabin for the foot of us. I decided to text Hyejoo to see if she wanted me to buy her a sweater.
