Alex's POV

"ALEXANDER JAMES HAMILTON!" I froze as I heard my name echo through the apartment John and I shared. I had been caught.

"Yeeeaah Peaches?" I responded shyly as I carefully rounded the corner to the kitchen. I looked up at my boyfriend to see him standing there, with an empty cookie jar in his hands. He was glaring at me, but I could tell he was forcing down a smile.

"Care to tell me why the cookie jar was empty? Even after we made a deal that we would split it?" John said, his foot starting to tap lightly on the floor.

I pulled the most innocent face I could muster up without cracking under his intense gaze. "The jar was empty? Hm.. I thought I had left one!"

John sighed. "Just confess to eating the last cookie. Don't make me do it Alexander. You will regret it." He said, setting the empty jar on the table. He looked back at me with a devilish twinkle in his eye that I instantly knew meant trouble. I smirked and pulled the largest puppy dog eyes I could, and slightly cocked my head to the side.

"Whatcha gonna do about it Laurens?" I said, poking out my bottom lip. "The cookie's gone anyway!" John looked at the ground, then back up at me through his eyelashes, which, I'm just saying, kinda freaked me out. Just a little bit.

"You know full well what I'll do to you Hamilton." He practically growled as he took a step closer to me. A shiver traveled down my spine. Another step. I took a step backwards, backing into the wall. He was practically on top of me now. He smirked, his green eyes swirling with a gleam that let me know this wasn't going to end well for me.

I let out a shrill shriek as John lunged for my waist. "SHIT!" I dived under his outstretched arms, making a mad dash for the living room. I would like to say I might have had a chance at out smarting him in there. Sadly, I didn't.

Right as I got into the living room, I looked behind me and saw John's curls bouncing around his head as he chased after me. This, of course, was a stunning sight, causing me to stumble over my own stupid feet, and land on the couch. Fully exposed.

John slowed his approach enough to give me anxiety. Then he jumped on me, positioning his hands right above my waist. My eyes widened as I realised what he was going to do. I started to hopelessly squirm against my boyfriend's grip.

"John! Please! Think about what you're doing! I swear I won't steal the last cookie ever aga-" He cut me off as he started to mercilessly tickle me.

"John! AHAHA-JO- PEACH- PPFFFT-ST-STOP!" At this point we had rolled onto the floor, and I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard. John dropped onto his elbows so he was laying on top of me.

"Ok ok, I'll stop. But you have to swear to never eat the last cookie. Ever again. Understand?" He said, still getting over both our laughing fits. I nodded.

"I swear."

Timeskip

That night, John was cuddled up to my side I was in the process of running my fingers through one of his curls, when a thought came to my mind.

"How did you even know it was me who stole the cookie?" John looked up at me.

"Well, two things. You are the only other person here, and I doubt Philip would have taken it." He stated, referring to our cat. I laughed.

"Ok, you have a point."

"Yeah. Not only that, but you really aren't that secretive. You left a cookie crumb trail. Not to mention you had a bunch of crumbs on your chin when you came downstairs." He added, kissing my chest. I froze for a second.

"Damnit I should've eaten the evidence." I said, entirely stone faced. John stated at me in dismay.

"Alexander! Don't make me tickle you again!"

Well, there you go! Again, sorry it's so short. And that the ending sucked. But, I tried. Anyway, hope you enjoyed! Goodnight, and I'll see ya tomorrow!
