I was sitting in my desk in the new joined room that Steph got us when someone knocked on my door. Steph had left about ten minutes ago.

“It’s open.” I said.

I looked at the door as it opened and in walked Derek. “Hey, Steph showed up so I came over…I brought some chocolate…”

I smiled as he sat on my bed. I pushed the rolling chair towards him and sat in front of him. “Awesome…So what do you wanna do?”

“I don’t know…Maybe just sit here and talk.”

“Sounds awesome.” I had already changed into my pajamas and it looked like Derek had done so as well. He was wearing a pair of pajama pants and a loose t-shirt. I was wearing a pair of pajama shorts and a tank top. He grinned at me and laid back on my bed. I looked at him curiously. “Derek? What is it like to be a werewolf?”

He looked at me and smirked. “Why are you so interested?”

“Well, it’s what you are…and I want to get to know you…”

He grinned and looked at the ceiling. “Well…it’s nothing I am not used to. I change into a wolf, not just on a full moon, whenever I want. But the full moon is where I have absolutely no control. Any other time I know what I am doing. On a full moon, all the wolves of the school are locked in special cages. There is an individual one for everyone. Meat is placed in. So far it has been working wonderfully.”

I nodded. “And eating raw meet?”

“It’s the only thing I crave. If it is cooked it loses its good taste, to me of course. The school keeps fresh meat at all times. They cook it only a little.”

I nodded and leaned forward, resting my elbows on my knees. “So, does it hurt? They make it look so painful in the movies.”

“Every bone in my body breaks, reforms, and heals in a matter of ten minutes. It hurts more than anything. But the pain only lasts for about twenty minutes. It’s not so bad.”

“Sounds terrible…” I said and looked at his belly. Steph told me about the gruesome scar that settles there. I didn’t really have any control. His shirt slowly slid up his stomach. He watched me. I looked panicked. “I’m sorry! I can’t control it!”

“You want me naked that badly?” he said with a grin.

“No!” I blushed but couldn’t take my eyes off his chiseled stomach. Then my eyes came across the scar. He looked down and then back to me. “Yeah, it’s a battle scar.”

“Steph told me about it…I think that is why your shirt came up.”

He pulled his shirt down and looked at me a little uneasy. “Yeah, her brother is a real ass. But he’s got a nice scar too.”

“On his shoulder.”

He smiled proudly. “Yeah, he had tried to take a girlfriend of mine. He succeeded. It was the girl from the dance…I have ignored her since.”

I nodded and sighed. I removed myself from the chair and pushed him over a little and crawled into bed. He moved to his side and looked at me. “Comfy?” he asked.

I grinned and nodded, putting my back to him.

“What is it like being a witch?”

He wrapped an arm around my waist and I could feel him breathing on my neck. “Well, I don’t know…when something happens it’s like…a strange force. When I see something happen, it’s the best. I’m still learning things, how to control it…as you seen I am not very good at controlling it. My curiosity or anger gets the best of me.”
