71 • my Childhood! yes, i remember you still.

i'm trying to say
yes
to more things.

to the things
that the logical
part of my brain will
argue against and reason:
you could be doing
something much more
productive.
it's a
waste of time.

and i will have to
fight my logic with
my heart that asks:
is it not worth it
to make some
beautiful memories?
ones filled with laughter
and the sun beating
down on our cheeks,
turning it red and pink!
oh! and the music beats
on Softly!
(in the background)
and our skin glistens
from the water,
and we laugh as
we watch our friends
push each other
into the
pool and with a grin,
they dragged us in
as well.
the water rushes up
our nose and tosses
our hair and the
sensations remind
me of all the things
that i've Lost (& Missed).

but there's work
to do.

but time
is slipping away.

it's time to grow
up.

yes,
i know.
let me cherish
my last moments.
