"Hold up," Bang Sihyuk, CEO of BigHit Entertainment, sat in his office with a bemused look on his face. Jimin and Namjoon requested a meeting with him and he braced himself for the worst of news, an injury during practice with the boys still insisting on performing regardless? Did Namjoon lose his passport again? Was there a death in the family? Were any of the members receiving death threats again? These questions ran amok in his mind and he tried his best to relax, feeling the first onset of palpitations tugging at his chest.

"You're... in love?" He cocked his head at a visibly nervous Jimin. This was unexpected news and it made him nervous but this was better than injury, death, accidental copyright infringements, accusations of plagiarism and death threats. He'd take Jimin in love any day as long as he didn't need to include the legal team into the mix.

"Yes, sir." Jimin said softly, twiddling his thumbs under the table.

"Is she anyone in the industry? Is she an idol?" He asked. BTS never a dating ban but in the back of his mind, Bang Sihyuk wished — no, prayed — that when the time came, he wouldn't have to deal with another idol as a potential girlfriend.

Idols dating other idols was gossip news gold and it can get really messy when breakups were involved. He was aware that some of the boys occasionally went on exploratory dinner dates but he never had any one of them approach him to say he was in love. It amused him to no end and his paternal instinct was making him feel a little sentimental and a tad overprotective. His boys were growing up to be fine men, humble and as hardworking as when they first started. He'd be loathe for anything bad happening to any of them, crippling heartbreak included.

"No, sir. She works for a PR company," Jimin replied, pride evident in his voice, proud of Yun Hae's accomplishments. It thrilled him to no end to have such a smart girlfriend. "She's a very accomplished and successful woman in her own field. She's the youngest VP in the company."

"Are you happy? Is she making you happy?" He relaxed for the first time since the meeting started. If Jimin's giddy demeanor was any indication, it looked like this business of being in love was a good thing. Bang Sihyuk liked seeing his boys well and happy.

"Yes, Bang PD-nim!" Jimin enthusiastically replied, his eyes transforming into crescent slits that Bang Sihyuk wondered if he could see at all.

"Very well. She works in PR you say?"

Namjoon nodded.

"Good, good." Bang PD smiled and nodded. "I want to meet her. Hit two birds with one stone."

"Are you thinking what I think you're thinking, sir?" Namjoon asked. Jimin nudged him discreetly, as panic started to set in. "Meet her?!?" He mouthed and shook his head. "She's going to kill me!" Jimin whispered.

"Relax, Chim." Bang PD's eyes crinkled in amusement. "Don't tell me you're scared of her," he laughed. Jimin's pout was getting more pronounced by the minute. He nodded imperceptibly.

"He actually is, Bang PD-nim." Namjoon laughed, patting Jimin's shoulders. "She can be intimidating," RM admitted.

"Don't worry, I won't bite. Joon, ask my secretary to set up a meeting with Yun Hae's office."

"Yes, sir."

"Tell her to check our schedules. I want you boys to join me."

Yun Hae looked at their country manager in astonishment. "I mean no disrespect, Sarang sunbaenim, but BigHit you say? BigHit as in BigHit Entertainment?"

"That's the one. Can you prepare a deck on our media monitoring tool? I want you to give the presentation. I will be joining you in case you need anything. We leave in the morning."

"Our media monitoring tool?" Yun Hae echoed, dumbfounded.

"Yes and they specifically requested that you give the presentation. I said yes, of course. I'm already excited to add a big-name entertainment agency to our portfolio." Her boss' eyes twinkled at the thought, "If all goes well, perhaps we can add an entertainment focus on our roster. What do you say?"

Yun Hae gulped. This reeked of something suspicious. She furiously typed a message to Jimin as she speed walked to her office. The meeting was tomorrow and she had a presentation to fine tune.

Can you call me if you have time? I just need to ask you something real quick.

PING.

"Hyung!" Jimin panicked as he read the message. No yeobo, baby, honey or even pabo, and Yun Hae's favorite "puppy".

"She didn't call me 'baby' — heck I'd even take 'puppy' any day — and there are no emojis," Jimin whined.

"It's going to be fine," Namjoon replied, not even bothering to look up from his phone. "It's your fault for not giving your girlfriend a heads-up."

"But, but..." Jimin's voice trailed off. "What do I tell her?! How was I supposed to know Bang PD-nim would get the bright idea to try to hire my girlfriend's firm?" He groaned. He quickly typed a reply, promising to call her as soon as he was done with recording.

I'll call you as soon as I'm done, baby. I miss you. 😘

He hoped that adding a kissy face emoji would soften his tigress when he broke the news to her. Yun Hae the noona and Yun Hae the vice president were scary, and he had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach that she was both at the moment.

He was beginning to think that telling Bang PD was a bad idea but he wanted to calm Yun Hae's fears about their relationship. He was seriously in love with her and he wanted her to know that, prepared to do whatever it takes to prove it.

Yun Hae sighed as she got off the phone with Jimin.

Her silly boyfriend explained everything and after a few protestations with a bit of telling off on her part, she begrudgingly "forgave" him. He sounded close to tears and sincerely apologetic that she caved.

She always caved when it came to Jimin having no absolute power to say no to him. She understood his intentions were well-meaning and admittedly, she was thrilled that he'd taken such a big step in their relationship.

No hiding, he said. "I want to tell the word about you but we both know it's impossible at this time so I'm doing the next best thing," and Yun Hae understood.

She understood more than anyone given her profession and if the agency was serious about hiring FleishmanHillard in their retainer, she was going to work her hardest to protect the boys.
