4.Welcome home

"So finally you're going home.Are you happy now?"Dr.Arun asked Saanjh who was getting discharge from the hospital after a month of getting treatment.

"I am extremely happy ,doctor."Saanjh chirped, smiling from ear to ear.

"Always stay happy like this."Dr.Arun said, looking at her smiling face.Saanjh reassured him with a nod.

Giving her a smile,Dr.Arun shifted his gaze to her father.

"Mr.Mathur,You've to bring her every month for a routine check up."Dr.Arun reminded him.

"Okay,doctor."Avinash nodded with an re-assuring smile.

Dr.Arun smiled back and shifted his gaze back to his patient.

"So ,Saanjh, Good luck for the new beginning of your life."He wished .

"Thank you,doctor."Saanjh smiled at him .

"See you then at our next appointment."He dismissed them with a professional smile.

Nodding their head Saanjh and Avinash rose from the chair.

"Thank you ,doctor ."Avinash said and then walked out of the cabin along with Saanjh.

When Saanjh came out of the cabin, a deep frown furrowed her brows as she saw Vihaan standing out there .

When their eyes met ,Vihaan gave her a fond smile whereas Saanjh rolled her eyes at him in annoyance.

It has been a month but Saanjh hasn't get along with Vihaan for a bit.She was still indifferent and cold.She never tried to interact with him out of interest nor had she any willingness.The way he kept hovering around her ,it made her feel annoyed.If she had given any choice to ignore him completely,she would do it happily.

"Dear,Actually I need to finish some formalities that will take a long time.So,You go home with Vihaan.I'll follow soon."Avinash told her.

Saanjh was unwilling to go with him.So,she opened her mouth to protest but before she could say something ,Avinash asked Vihaan to take her home safely and just walked away from there ,giving her no chance to protest.

Having no choice, Saanjh swallowed her awkwardness and  headed to her home with Vihaan.

Saanjh was full of confidence to deal with her current situation,to face the reality.But her confidence started to slowly disappear when she noticed the changes around her, on the way to her home.It wasn't much of what she remembered. Everything felt so different. 

"The structure of the city has changed a lot in all these years."Saanjh murmured while observing the road scenarios.

"Did you say something?"Vihaan asked, shifting his gaze from the road to her.

"The city looks different than before....lots of new houses,buildings ,shops ,fewer trees ,more people, wide and well constructed road and numerous cars on it ."She said in a slow quiet voice.

Vihaan could feel the sadness in her voice and he felt helpless for not being able to do anything to ease her pain.

"Would you like to hear some music?"Vihaan asked after a moment, in an attempt to divert her mind.That's the most he could do right then.

"Sounds good."Saanjh replied ,glancing at him for a moment.

Vihaan gave her a nod and played musics in car play whereas Saanjh rested her head on the back of her seat and closed her eyes while listening to those songs.

"Can you please play the previous one again?"She requested him when a particular song ended. 

Vihaan looked at her with an astonishment for a moment before replaying the song .

"This one?"He asked to re-confirm.She gave him a nod.

"You liked the song?"He asked, maintaining the same expression.

"Yeah,I like it .The song is beautiful in terms of melody and lyrics.And the singer's voice is so damn good."She said and hearing that a smile of joy and satisfiction lit up his face.

"Speaking of which,What's the name of the singer of this song?"She asked, getting curious as the singer's voice sounded unfamiliar to her.

"Vihaan Oberoi."He answered.

"Oh,I see!....Sorry!What did you say?Vihaan Oberoi? Isn't that your name?"She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yeah, it's my name and that's my song."He replied.

"You're a singer?"She was sort of astonished.

"Yes."He nodded,flashing her a grin.

"Wow!You really are a talented man.What a euphonious voice you have!"She said, impressed. 

"Thank you, I am happy to hear you feel that way."He smiled in pleasure.

Then she asked some questions about his singing career.He gave answers to all her queries and he was very happy during this session as she was finally showing some interest to know him .It was really a huge deal for him.

Saanjh got to know that Vihaan debuted in music world during the second year of their college .And
She didn't want to admit but her heart fluttered when Vihaan gave her the credit of his success  saying that she was the one who had inspired him and helped him to pursue his dream.

Thus the time passed and they reached 'Mathur house' and as soon as they got out of the car a golden furry dog came running to her .

"Oh Bruno!"She sat down on knees and embraced him in a hug.

"Oh my God!Look at you.You're a grown up boy now."She said smiling brightly while stroking the golden fur of her pet dog.He was enjoying her touch , closing his both eyes., feeling it wholeheartedly.

"Did you miss me?"She asked and he barked happily at her in response.

She chuckled "I missed you too."She said and hugged him again.

Suman and Tarun welcomed Saanjh in home with great pomp.In the meantime Avinash also came back home.

"What's all this?"Saanjh asked in surprise while gazing around the decorations of her house.

"Welcome party for you."Tarun replied, grinning at her.

"But there was no need to do all of these."Saanjh said,although she liked the surprise .

"Of course,it was needed,dear.Happiness has stepped into this house after a long time.We definitely had to celebrate it. "Suman said while adoring Saanjh's face.

Saanjh's eyes teared up by  overwhelming emotions and she embraced her mother in a tight hug.Avinash and Tarun joined them and it ended up in a family hug.

Vihaan was standing aside, leaning his back against a pillar and was  smiling seeing their reunion.

"Vihaan,Why are you standing there?You're also a part of our family.Come and join us."Suman said when she noticed him standing alone. Avinash also motioned him to join them.

Vihaan gave them a nod and joined them.Saanjh got a little bit awkward by his involvement in her family moment but she didn't voice it out.

She was actually amazed seeing her family's love and affectionate for him.She couldn't help but admit that he had something special into him that made him her family's favorite in a short span of time.Even her pet dog, Bruno was fond of him.
