14.Connecting the dots

Vihaan was getting treatment for his injuries in OT whereas both families were waiting outside impatiently.

After a while,the doctor who was treating Vihaan, came out .

"Doctor,How is he now?"Vikrant asked him worriedly.

"Well..He had to have 7 stitches in his hand.Other than that he is alright now.You can even take him home.Just make sure that he take proper rest."Doctor informed them and everyone breathed in relief.

"Doctor,Can we go in?"Malini asked impatiently in order to see her son.

"He's getting bandages on his  wounds .Hence,wait for a while.Once his bandages are done,you all can go and meet him."Doctor replied.

Vikrant nodded in agreement and thanked the doctor for his service .The doctor smiled in pleasure and then left from there.

They waited until a nurse came out and permitted them to go in.

Saanjh headed to go in along with others but Malini grabbed her hand and made her stop .

Everyone halted on their way and looked at Malini with confusion.

"Where do you think you're going,huh?Just stay here.Don't you dare to go inside."Malini warned Saanjh.

"Malini,What are you doing?"Vikrant hissed, coming close to her.

"Leave her hand and let her go in."He ordered her but she shook her head in denial.

"No,Vikrant.All this happened because of this girl.She is responsible for his state.I won't let her go anywhere my son."She told him.

"Malini,We can't blame her for his condition.She isn't at fault."Vikrant said , taking Saanjh's side which made her even more furious.

"Are you blind, Vikrant?Don't you see anything?"Malini snapped.

"Vikrant, Since the time she woke up from coma,Vihaan often get hurt and everytime she was around him at the moment.Do you think that's normal? Just a coincidence?"

She went on"Take this incident as an example.They both were there when the chandelier fell down.Vihaan got hurt but look at her.She is perfectly fine.She doesn't even have a scratch.Isn't it strange?"Her words put Saanjh in deep thought.

Saanjh never thought about those things in that way.She recalled all the incidents and realized that Malini was right.He faced trouble ever since  she came back into his life.

Malini continued"I'm telling you she is bad omen for our son.They just got engaged and he ended up in the hospital.If this is the case now,what'll happen if they gets married?She'll take his...."

"Mrs.oberoi! Enough now!"Avinash said aloud in anger that startled them all.

"Don't you dare say a word against my daughter."he warned her furiously.

Avinash stayed quiet till now out of respect .But he couldn't hold himself anymore when Malini started crossing the limits.He couldn't just stayed mum and let her insulting his daughter.

"Mrs.Oberoi,How can you blame her for Vihaan's condition?Don't forget that she is the one who saved his life today."He pointed it out .

"Mrs.Oberoi,We can understand that you're worried about Vihaan.But you can't blame her for his condition.She has nothing to do with this."Suman said, angrily.

"Mr. and Mrs.Mathur, I'm really sorry.She is very worried about him right now.That's why she is saying all this.Please don't mind her words ."Vikrant quickly apologized before the matter could really got out of hand.

"Mr.Oberoi ,I don't want to be rude and ruin our relationship.So I will remain quiet and please tell her to do the same."Avinash said in a cold tone.

Vikrant nodded his head in assurance,then glared at Malini.

"For God's sake...Keep your mouth shut for a while.Don't make things complicated anymore."He told her in a low yet intimidating voice.

Malini listened to him this time.She just looked at Saanjh with a scornful look on her face for a moment and then dashed into Vihaan's room.

As she left,Vikrant let out an exaggerated sigh and looked at Saanjh who was looking extremely downcast.Her eyes were mist with lingering tears.

"I am really sorry,dear."He apologized to her,lowering his gaze.

"Uncle,Please! Don't apologize to me.You're elder to me."Saanjh said, embarrassed.

Vikrant shook his head"But still I ....."

"Let bygones be bygones,Mr.Oberoi.Let's just end this topic here."Avinash said, cutting him off.

Avinash and Suman was still upset  but they didn't want to exaggerate the matter for the sake of Saanjh and Vihaan's happiness.

After solving everything , they went to meet Vihaan and no one mentioned to him about the heated argument that happened between them,just a while ago.

"Saanjh,It was a long hectic day for you.Go to your room,freshen up and then take some rest."Suman suggested when they returned home from the hospital.

"And dear,Don't think too much about what Mrs.Oberoi said in the hospital.You know she is very possessive about Vihaan.Don't take her words into your heart."Avinash added.

Saanjh nodded with a subtle smile and headed to her room.

Whether anyone listened to Malini or not,Saanjh believed her.She agreed to her in each and every point.She was sure that whatever happening to Vihaan has got something to do with her.

She connected all the dots.

She couldn't deny the fact that since the time she came out of coma, something or the other was happening to him.Whenever he came close to her,he got hurt.And She was sure that she was the reason for all of it.

She had so many questions in her mind regarding the errie situation she was coming across .And unknowingly Malini helped her to find those answers.

Finally She understood the purpose of that spirit .She was foolish not to understand it from the beginning.She understood that the spirit's main target is her.He was hurting Vihaan so that he could reach to her.

But why?What did she do to him?Why is he after her? Why is he hurting Vihaan time and again?

She still has no answers of these questions.

She kept thinking about  how to save her and her loved ones life from that ominous spirit.More than anything,she is worried about Vihaan's safety.She couldn't let that spirit hurt him again.

After thinking a lot for almost 2 days ,she finally came up with a decision.

"Vihaan,Are you free tomorrow?"Saanjh asked him on the phone.

"Tomorrow?...Umm..tomorrow I've a recording of my new song."Vihaan answered from the other side of the call.

"Oh,I see."she was disappointed.

"Yeah.But why did you ask?"He inquired.

"Actually I was thinking to go out with you.But if you're busy, it's fine."She replied.

"I can go out with you."he said instantly.

"But your recording?"

"I will postpone it."

"Is it okay to do so?"

"Yeah.It won't be a problem."he assured her.

Even if he have to face problem,he was ready to bear it in order to spend time with her.

"So we're gonna meet tomorrow,right?"He asked to re-confirm.

"Yes,We are."she reassured him.

"See you tomorrow then."he sounded excited.

"Okay,good night."saying this she cut the call and closed her eyes with a heavy heart.
