I woke up to the sun shinning in the room and an over size shirt on that I didn't remember putting on. I rubbed my eye and sat up as the door opened of Marcus's room. His little sister came in with a huge smile. She held a little dandelion in her hand. She handed it to me.
"My momma said you'd like it." She said sitting next to me on the bed.
I smiled down at her and kissed her forehead, "Thank you. It's beautiful just like you."
She smiled up to me, "Are you dating my brother?"
I thought. I couldn't really think of what to say. "Your brother is my best friend."
"He is mine too. I mean other than my momma." She smiled wrapping her arms around my one arm. "Marcus, wanted me to come get you."
"Okay." I smiled getting out of bed and held Nailia in one hand and the other held the dandelion.
I carried her downstairs and into the kitchen. Marcus smiled at us as we entered. He took the flower and placed it in a cup of water. Marcus took his sister so I could sit at the table. He sat her in a chair next to mine. Marcus kissed her forehead then sat a plate in front of her.
"Thank you, Marc." She said and started to eat her pancakes.
Marcus sat a plate infront of me and kissed my forehead. He sat next to me and grasped my hand. We all ate breakfast. As soon as Nailia was done she just down from the table and went to play with her toys. Marcus smiled at me.
"Marcus, about last night." i started but he cut me off.
"My mom is working today, so i have plans for us today. But my sister has to tag along."
"Okay." i nodded.
I wanted to talk about last night but during the whole day of trying to bring it up, Marcus brushed it off. We took Nailia to the park for a little bit. As she ran around Marcus and I sat on a little bench under a tree.
"Marcus." I said grabbing his attention, "can we please talk about last night." I begged him
"Amara." He folded his hands and placed his elbow on his knees. He didn't look at me. He just looked at the floor.
"Im sorry, Marcus." I stood, "just forget I said anything." I started to walk to where Nailia was.
"Amara," He said grabbing my arm. He turned me around so I looked at him. "I like you okay. I just don't want to say something and mess this all up."
"Marcus." I said looking up at him. But he stopped me.
"Let me finish." He said lacing his fingers into mine. "I like really like you, baby. I just don't want to mess up. I want this to be perfect. I want to treat you the way you should be treated."
I smiled up at him, "Marcus."
"I want to spend a long time with you. Hopefully you want to spend it with me." He placed his hand on my cheek.
"Okay." I smiled. "I'd like that."
"Really?" He asked me then kiss
