Chapter 1; Meeting Autumn

Hi, I'm Autumn I'm 13 years old and I live in England. I have 3 amazing friends that I can talk to anytime and they wouldn't care what I say. Firstly there's Mia who is so kind and she is so sweet and innocent. Olivia I can tell anything and she wouldn't care and then lastly there's Kamri who I have been best friends with since I was 3. This year for me has been horrible because my dad's work is so busy that he thinks that we might be moving to Austrailia!!

It was Friday morning and I didn't feel to good, but like any old parents they send you to school. Kamri always waits for me near my house so then we can walk together. It was 7:35 and school started at 8:35

"Autumn, get your lazy butt down here now!" My dreaded mum shouted. Why does she have to be so mean.

"Kay mum!" I replied with a frightful frown on my face. Don't you just hate school, like I hate the teachers and the food and GOING TO THE TOILET!! It was now 7:55.

"What do you want to have for breakfast,Conker." My mum asked me. She usually calls me Conker because my name is Autumn and well you know what she means.

"Can I just have orange juice and some fruit."

"That's it."

"Well I'm not that hungry."

So she started cutting up the fruit and I looked in through the living room door and saw my dad leaving for work. They is definitely something going on between my mum and dad and my dads job. It just doesn't feel the same anymore.

"Here you go hunny, what...you...looking at." My mum asked as if she knew I was looking at dad leaving.

"Urm,nothing!"I said.

'Knock knock'

The door went. I think it was Kamri.

"Autumn, you ready my love!" My mum shouted.

I didn't answer. I was to scared. My mum was acting very strange this morning. I stared out of the large glass window next to the dining room. I saw my dad leave for work in his brand new white range rover. He looked very smart. He all of a sudden climbed Into the car and slammed the door shut while answering his phone. I don't think he even wants to move to Australia if he gets offered.

"Autumn?" My mum shouted me again. I slowly walked away seeing my dad drive off in the corner of my eye. He was still on the phone while driving.

I got to the front door. Walked out to meet Kamri. For some strange reason this morning Kamri looked really angry and furious. The other night we did have an argument on the phone about a cute boy at school that is now her BOYFRIEND!! Such a good best friend. On the way to school she hardly talked to me and we were about 1 metre apart. I was starting to wonder if she had fallen out with Bradley- that 'cute' guy I was talking about earlier-.

My first lesson of the day was life. I can't remember if I had it with Kamri or not. After life I was walking out of class with Olivia. We saw a girl sitting on a wall by herself crying. We thought it might of been Sammy who always crys, but...no it was Kamri.

We walked up to her and she was crying her eyes out! Me and Olivia both looked at each other and raised one eyebrow up.

"What's up hun?" Said Olivia

"Bradley." She blurted out in a scared voice "He pushed me down to the floor and said that your better than me, he is scaring me!" She told us. We ran to a teacher, Mr Hotway, at asked him for help. She went home after all that drama to calm herself down. It was now lunch. Me and Olivia stayed together all day because usually I would be hanging out with Kamri but cos she has gone home I stayed with Olivia. After school I told my mum everything.
