As Kamaria grew up, Priest Hevanst quickly realized that no one would be coming back for her, activity from the village had been quiet for a year now, and one could only assume the worst. So Hevanst took it upon himself to officially adopt Kamaria, he had always wanted children of his own but never found the time to settle down. When Kamaria reached age 7, thats when Priest Hevanst began to notice that something was unusual with the little girl. Her black hair was shiney like a sleek metal, her pale skin seemed to have an unnatural glow to it, her blue eyes resembled sapphire gems, and the light crescent moon outline on her forehead became more opaque. Through his knowledge of the celestials, he determined that Kamaria was an Aasmiar, a descendent of gods. However, not much was known about aasmiars in their region so there wasn't much Priest Hevanst could do. Afraid of people taking advantage of Kamaria, he kept her rather sheltered and out of the society's eye as best as he could, wih the temple being quite secluded, it wasn't a hard thing to do. Priest Hevanst came to the conclusion that Kamaria's lineage must have spread from Selûne the Moon Goddess, as proof of the crescent moon on her forehead and her growing interest with that particular goddess. Kamaria was a teenager when she decided she wanted to be a cleric, and Priest Hevanst could not have been prouder.
Eventually, Hevanst decided he needed to have a conversation with the girl. "Darling, may we have a word quickly?" He asked as Kamaria finished washing some dishes, "Of course, Father. Whats wrong?" She asked him. "Well, I'm sure by now, you've noticed-" Hevanst began but was cut off by Kamaria, "Father, don't worry, I know I'm adopted and I don't care. You were the one who raised me" she said. Hevanst chuckled before continuing "Oh Kamaria, you always were a smart kid. But that's not the reason we needed to talk. Have you noticed you have some peculiar looks?" He asked. Kamaria tilted her head to the side and shrugged "I guess, whenever we have guests they always comment on it, but I never took the time to really look at my features" she responded. "Well dear, You should probably know you're not a normal human, you're an aasmiar" Hevanst stated, as he watched his daughters face scrunch in confusion. "An aasmiar? What does that mean?" Kamaria asked the man in front of her. "Well, around here not much is known about them, but basically you're a descendent of a godly being. Because of that you have some unique looks and some have said powers" Hevanst explained to her. Kamaria looked at her reflection in the clean countertop and smiled "woah... that's so cool! Is that why this is there?" She asked, pointing to the shape on her forehead. Hevanst chuckled again, "Very likely so" he said, Kamaria smiled again. Hevanst thought she wouldn't take the news too well, but it seemed she was very happy with it. "Oh, can I ask a question, dear. How did you find out you were adopted? I don't remember ever telling you" Hevanst asked Kamaria before she walked off to her room. Kamaria laughed and smiled "Father, you've never been married and we look nothing alike, it wasn't hard to fit the peices together. But like I said, I don't care, no matter what you're my father" she said as she hugged him. Hevanst hugged her back and smiled to himself "That's my girl" he said quietly.
