ALFIES POV
I have to tell her; I'm leaving tommorow! My sisters been accepted into an amazing university but it is so far away... I have to move!
I quickly approach Zoe in the playground,
"Hello? Zoe, I need to talk to you."
"Okay Alfa" she replied with a smile.
I quickly led her over to the corner with the hopscotch so no other nosy 8 year olds would eavesdrop.
"Yeah?"
"Well... I have something to tell you. You won't like it" I muttered,
"Don't keep me waiting!"
"I have to move house across the world. I'm so sorry!"
Zoe took a step back and pulled a confused face.
"Are you sure? Or have you eaten too many sweeties?!"
"I'm serious Zoe! Poppy got a scholarship! She's gonna be famous and we will move in together in a big castle with lots of cats and dogs using some of her money-"
"And guinea pigs!!!" She squealed;
"Yeah, but I'm still moving" I looked at my feet and twisted my toes in the gravel. I could see her big blue eyes fill with tears.
"I will see you soon!" I looked up at her again, grinning but tears were falling down my cheeks.
"I trust you."
We had the biggest hug ever; soon interrupted by my mum shouting me.
"Alfie! Time to go, I hope you've said goodbye to Zoe!"
I ran off and waved back to the petite figure, who soon ran off to her family.
