As soon as Jefferson and Madison are out of sight, I go up to Hamilton. "How did it go?" I ask him.

"What? Jefferson or the papers?" he replies.

"The papers. I'm assuming Jefferson didn't go the best way," I say, trailing off.

"Yeah. You're right about that. But the papers went well. I also got my schedule and my dorm is...." He rummages through some papers in his hand. ".... 51A."

"Are you kidding me?" I say as my face fills with glee. "We're roommates!"

"What?" he says, smiling back. "What a coincidence!"

"You guys are roommates? Huh, funny how none of us were put with anyone outside out little group," Laf says, walking up to us.

"'Our little group'? Please Laf, don't call it that again," I say, rolling my eyes. Alex laughs.

"Anyway, me and Herc are going to go back to our dorm and prepare for tomorrow. First day of school, you know." Laf sighs. "It's going to be a long year."

"Yeah. I'll show Alex to our dorm. Bye guys!" I say.

"Bye!" Everyone shouts back.

Alex grabs his stuff and we walk over to our dorm. It's not far from the main enterance, thankfully. Once both of us are settled in we plop down on the couch and start to just... talk.

"Tell me about yourself," he says to me after a while.

"Umm.... well, I'm John Laurens in the place to be. I'm a part of a pretty big friend group, which you are a part of now, by the way, congratulations." He smiles. "I like art and I love turtles. Oh, I have 2 over here. This is Martha and Margarita."

"Cool." He replies, pressing his hands against the aquarium.

"Tell me a bit about yourself." I say to him.

"Oh. I'm Alexander Hamilton, and there's a million things I haven't done, but just you wait. I got a scholarship to King's College. I'm gonna practice the law and practically perfect it. I study hard, and I will get into debates and fights easily. You don't have to worry about that though," he says, fiddling with his thumbs. I smile at him. "Tell me about 'our little group'," he says, smirking.

"Oh, please. Don't call it that," I say, rolling my eyes again. "There's not much to say. Herc and Laf are the funny troublemakers, Angelica's the extremely cool feminist mom, Eliza's the sweet cinnamon roll who keeps us all down to earth, and Peggy's the amazing little sister who you wish you had but you don't. Thomas, Madison, Burr, and a couple other people aren't really in our group, but we're friends and we hang out sometimes."

"That's so cool," he says, looking straight into the TV's non-existing eyes. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but, are Lafayette and Hercules, like, a couple?" he asks, blushing.

I smile. "Yep. Get used to it. And you can call them Laf and Herc, they won't mind," I say.

There is an awkward moment of silence.

"So, umm, so you like to play video games?" I ask awkwardly.

He smiles and nods, so we play Minecraft and Dragon Age for a while. Most people don't see me as a video game type; I'm very active so most people think I do sports. I like the thrill of video games. They give me more than the real world does.

A couple hours later and the tension between us has barely dropped. Seriously, the unanswered question between us is killing me:

Are we going to be a couple?

aaaacccccccckkkkkkkkkk....

so cheesy, I know. I can't help it.
