Judges will read the first chapter of each story and judge based on the following criteria:
(0-5) - Cover
(0 - 5) - Title
(0 - 5) - Blurb/summary
(0 - 10) - Grammar
(0 - 10) - How hooking is the first chapter
(0 - 35) - Total
ROUND 2 - TOP EIGHT
Judges will read the first three chapters of each story and judge based on the following:
(0 - 10) - Grammar
(0 - 5) - Descriptive language
(0 - 5) - Creativity/originality
(0 - 10) - Plot Development
(0 - 10) - Character Development
(0 - 40) - Total
ROUND 3 - GENRE WINNERS
Judges will read the first five chapters of each story and judge based on the following criteria:
(0 - 10) - Grammar
(0 - 5) - Descriptive language
(0 - 5) - Creativity/originality
(0 - 10) - Plot Development
(0 - 10) - Character Development
(0 - 40) - Total
*Judges will also be asked to recommend stories for special awards
ROUND 4 - GRAND FINALE
