Marking

"Why did you attack me?" Sabrina glares at Jade. She just woke up after passing out from exerting her powers the day before. Jade just sets her plate of food down and stands up. She moves to the bed, where Sabrina is now sitting upright. Jade hugs her and Sabrina hugs her back. After the embrace, Jade goes back to her chair and sits, starting on her food again, "hello? Jade?"
"What?" Jade looks at Sabrina, "you really want to know?"
"Of course I do," Sabrina tries a smile.
"Because you went crazy. You were going to kill him! I couldn't let you kill him. It isn't who you are. You know that. I don't want to be like them. Please. I'm begging you not to kill," Jade looks down as a tear escapes her eye and runs down her cheek. Sabrina gets up and walks over to Jade, when she reaches Jade, she hugs her.
"I... I don't know Jade. You were in danger and I snapped. I couldn't let them hurt you. So I attacked with all my force," Sabrina squeezes Jade.
"Just promise you will try to maintain control," Jade hugs Sabrina back.
"I promise. My eyes hurt when I woke up, but they don't anymore," Sabrina blinks a few times.
"They changed colors and-" Jade gets cut off and she whimpers as smoke rises off her arms. Jade looks up at Sabrina as she pulls her hand off her back.
"What is happening?" Sabrina asks as she looks at Jade's arms. She helps Jade out of her shirt and the smoke spirals towards the exposed symbol on her chest. There are beautiful purple and black designs left on her arms that lead to the symbol on her chest.
"I think the designs mark me as yours. I think it is a way of your powers trying to protect me," Jade touches one of the designs and she hisses as she pulls her hand away.
"Are you okay," Sabrina rests a hand on Jade's leg as she kneels in front of her.
"Yeah. Just burns to touch a little," Jade smiles at Sabrina.
"Okay. Let me know if it hurts more," Sabrina kisses Jade as she stands, "so did I miss anything? Or did nothing really happen."
"You missed you being called a murderous psycho. The water dude said that it was all he could do to fight agaisnt your control. So on and so on. Just a bunch of nonsense," Jade answers as she gets up too.
"I'm hungry," Sabrina says, and with snap of her fingers, she is dressed in a beautiful purple dress.
