"Sabrina, you know peace is relative right? If we go in there-" Ash starts to say before black goo appears on his mouth, holding it shut. Jade chokes on her laugh and starts to cough instead.
"I told you Ash, I didn't want to hear a word about this," Sabrina says as she glares at Ash.
"Hey. It isn't his fault he can't stop talking," Jade places a hand on Sabrina's shoulder. Sabrina sighs and the goo vanishes. Ash is about to say something when Jade shoots him a look that says don't do it or I will burn you. Wisely, Ash looks forward and points.
"Look, here we are," Ash says as the three approach a tall, nondescript building.
"Remind me what this is?" Jade looks at Ash.
"A lab used to develop dangerous weapons and tools. Ones used by The Reigning. And Sabrina wishes to bring it down. Says that it will bring some peace to us, which I doubt," Ash glares at Sabrina as he speaks.
"And why do you think I wish to bring it down?" Sabrina asks.
"As revenge for them ruining your date last night," is all he says in response. Jade punches his shoulder and Sabrina laughs while raising her hand to snap. She snaps and has all three of them in their uniforms. Sabrina smirks as she looks at the other two and raises a hand towards the wall of the building.
"Careful, there is a good chance that they have a wall of magic around this place," Ash says, and as if in response a ripple goes over the building. Sabrina sighs and looks at the building.
"When will they ever learn that they can't keep me out of places with simple walls and magic," Sabrina smiles as the words leave her mouth. She points at the building and the magic barrier starts to slowly turn black, starting at the place she pointed at. It spreads like an infection through the barrier until it falls. With a snap, Sabrina is surrounded by black smoke and is lifted off the ground. Purple tendrils slither through the smoke towards the building as her eyes glow purple. Jade smirks and raises a flaming fist towards the building. A woman appears at the wall and Sabrina's tendrils stop moving closer. The woman smiles and looks at the tendrils shrouded in the smoke, mere feet from the building. The woman's form shifts and she becomes a red hawk. She soars past Sabrina and returns to her place on the building, shifting back to human. She takes a megaphone from someone and turns towards the Sabrina, Ash, and Jade.
"Destroying this building is an act of war. That is war you don't want to fight, regardless of who you are Phantom. You have thirty seconds to disappear or you will be seen as not only the criminals you are, but as high level threats that are to be killed," the woman says.
"Try to kill me Scarlet Robe. Or should I say Cherry Adeel?" Sabrina's voice booms and it is almost as if she is a goddess.
"Ash, has she ever bled?" Jade asks as she looks at the woman she loves.
"Only once. It was a long time ago though. Her blood wasn't red either. It was silver. As if something lies deep inside her, waiting to be awoken," Ash answers and looks a Jade, "why do you ask?"
"I think she is different Ash, she isn't really human as much as she is a goddess. Her powers took away her human. That is why she acts the way she does. She doesn't fear her own death. She has been hiding that," Jade says and looks at the building to see a second figure appear. One with a gold spear aimed right at Sabrina, "Sabrina is the goddess of the moon and redemption Ash. She was elevated to a higher status by her powers. But that means there is a god of the sun somewhere," Jade looks at the man of gold and then at Sabrina.
"You will fail," Sabrina says and her tendrils snap up, grabbing Aurum's spear and shattering it. He looks at the remnants in disbelief as another tendril shoots up and knocks him down. The building shakes as more and more tendrils wrap around it. Just as Sabrina is about to tear the building to pieces, the shadows below Sabrina move and form a spike.
"Even gods can be killed," Hugh Clyde says as he appears from the shadows of a nearby building.
"Sabrina!" Jade calls out, but her words don't reach Sabrina in time. The spike shoots up, stabbing through Sabrina's stomach. Jade sends a fire ball at Hugh and he vanishes. The spike disappears and so does the smoke and tendrils. The building collapses without the support of the tendrils and Jade runs to catch Sabrina. Silver blood pools in Jade's arms as she lays Sabrina on the ground. Tears stream down her face as she looks at Sabrina's wound. Sobs rack Jade's body and an inferno is emitted from Jade's body, burning everything in it's path. The only thing that remains is a fully clothed Jade, Sabrina, and Ash. Tears stream down both Ash's face and Jade's face now as they look at Sabrina's limp body.
"You can't die now, I still need you," is all Jade can say before she is enveloped in the darkness of her own mind.
