"So remember to study for this exam, it is extremely important! You are all smart kids, apart from you Sam" The class laughs.

"Mr.Everett I can do this, I can probably get a higher test score than everyone here" Sam replied

"Well you do that then! Prove a point, good job you're getting somewhere boy! Don't let anyone tell you you're not good enough" Lee said pacing up and down the front. Sam nods "Thanks sir".

"No problem, everyone time to pack up I will see you all Monday for the exam. No staying up till 1 in the morning playing that new Xbox game. This exam needs to be passed!. Class dismissed" Lee announces proudly as he goes and sits back down at his desk and watches everyone leave the room.

*2 hours or so later*

A car pulls up in a friendly neighbourhood and parks into a drive. The sky is blue and there is children playing across the street. Lee parks the car up and grabs his work case from the backseat. When he pulls up the kids are playing soccer, Lee gets out of the car and watches the children kick the ball to each other. He puts the case down on the floor and walks over to the kids. He steals the soccer ball from the kids feet!

"Hey Mr Everett that's not fair!" The small boy smiled as he tried to tackle the ball back from underneath Lee's feet. The other boy stands back and smiles. Lee dribbles the ball over to the two plastic bottles placed by a fence to create a goal.

"He shoots...HE SCORES!!!!" Lee screams as he hits the ball against the back of the fence. A man comes out from the house.

"You're having more fun than the kids Lee" Said the woman

"I cant help it Linda, its just so fun!" Lee smiled as he scuffed the top of the kids head with his hand.

"Mum, Mr.Everett cheated! I wasn't ready and he knew it!" The little boy giggled, out of breath.

"Well come on in now say goodbye to Aaron and Mr Everett cause dinner is ready." Linda said

"Bye Mr Everett, bye Aaron" the boy ran inside past his mother.

"I'd better get a move on, Lisa might be wondering why I'm late" Lee explained as he turned around and said his goodbyes.

Lee walked towards the house opposite and stepped inside.

"Anyone home?" He shouted as he put his case down and examined the side table. There was a post-it-note stuck to the side of the wall, it read. 'Will be home late, work again love Lisa xxx'

"Typical" tutted Lee and he walked into the kitchen and grabbed a beer from the fridge. He went and sat down to relax. He began to watch the TV sipping on the beer and flicking through channels. An hour later the front door creaked open.

"Lee? I'm home." A female voice called.

Lee jumped up from his seat, he looked angry.

"Lisa? Again! What even is this work, you're never home anymore!" Lee said in disgust.

"Its not my fault Lee! Its work!" Lisa explained as she chucked her keys on the side table.

"I hate living like this! We've been married 3 years and it just keeps going to Shit!" Lee went and sat at the dining room table and put his head in his hands.

"I know that job stresses you, why can't we just settle down have kids or-"

"Lee we've had this conversation, no kids" Lisa frowned at him.

"I'm trying to say that my job is enough to cover us, you could get a small job you don't need to do all of that travelling like you do, I'm fed up of being alone nearly every night. Normal married couples spend their nights after work at home together."  Lee cried desperately trying to get her to listen.

"We aren't a normal couple" Lisa looked down at Lee and gave him a cold look. Lee looked up at her "what do you mean?".

"I mean we aren't like we used to be! I love my job and you love yours. Don't take that away from me just because you always bring up the fucking kids excuse. Kids this, kids that if you wanted kids you should of married someone else because I don't want any little shit bags." Lisa spat out words, she stormed off into the kitchen then went upstairs. Lee looked around looking for something to comfort him. He could be a big man when needed, when he didn't need it he was as soft as a hot knife through butter. He was broken and tired anything else could push him off the edge. He begins to get a blanket out of a cupboard to prepare for his camp out on the sofa, again.

"ALSO BEFORE I GO UP TO BED I'VE SIGNED A NEW DEAL, GOING TO TAMPA BAY FOR 2 MONTHS IN FLORIDA" Lisa smirks as she shouts down the stairs.

Lee looks between his feet. He begins to shout "WHY THE FUCK WOULD I WANT KIDS WITH YOU ANYWAY, YOU'D BE A SHIT MOTHER TO MY CHILDREN!". Lee lays down on the sofa and pulls the blanket over himself. He lays awake staring at the ceiling replaying what he said in his head over and over.
