A little bit after they checked on me I climbed out of bed and grabbed my backpack. I can't take having them live like this. I walked out of my room and straight out of the building. I took a breath and walked away from the building. I want to let them life a life without me. I walked and walked until I got tired which I stopped by the ocean. I found a cave by the beach and sat inside there. I put my head on the wall of the cave and fell asleep that way.
*Joe's View*
"Emma, can you open the door please?"I asked. "I'm sorry about yesterday. I know this all must be really hard on you too not just us."I said. I opened the door to see that she wasn't in her room. There was dream catchers on her desk and her phone was there too. "Guys!"I yelled as I ran out of the room. I ran down the stairs.
"Where's the fire Joe?"Sal asked. "Emma's gone. She's not in her room."I said. They all got up and walked back and fourth. "I'll call the police."Q said. "I'm going to talk to Tony."Murr said. "Don't worry guys we'll find her."Jessie said. We nodded. "Where's one place she might go?"Jessie asked. "Wait that book she wrote was about her right."Murr said walking back into the room. "Yea."Sal said. "Where's one place the main character went to calm down?"Murr asked.
"The beach."I said. They nodded and we all walked to the car. Jessie stayed behind with Snow just in case she went back home. We all climbed into the car and went to the beach.
*Emma's View*
When I woke up I got up from the sand and walked to the water. I smiled and looked at the water. I like the ocean water. It always calms me. I closed my eyes and listened to the water hit the beach. "Emma!"Joe yelled. I opened my eyes and look back at the water. "Emma!"Q yelled. I stayed looking at the water. "Emma, are you okay?"Sal asked walking in front of me. I nodded and pulled away from him. "Emma, what's going on?"Sal asked.
"Was I just a punishment for you?"I asked with tears falling down my face. "Yes."Q said. "But, you're the best punishment we've gotten on the whole show."Joe said. They all nodded. "Even thought I'm sick."I said. "Yes. We'll still love you the same."Sal said. "No matter what happens." Murr said. They all hugged me. "Come on. Let's get you home."Q said. I nodded and we walked to the car. "Sorry, that I ran. I didn't want to be too much."I said. "It's okay. Let's forget that it didn't happen."Joe said I nodded and we walked into the house.
I smiled and walked into the house. "Emma, I'm glad your home."Jessie said hugging me. I smiled and hugged her back. That's when I heard a bark. I pulled away and started to pet Snow. "So, why don't you head back upstairs for a little bit and unpack everything you have in that bag."Q said. I nodded and ran up the stairs with Snow at my side.
I smiled and put everything away. I then grabbed my phone,
Ross: Are you okay? Grace is telling everyone you shaved your head.
Ross: Can you pick up?
Me: Sorry that I haven't answered. I did shave my head, but that's because I have an unknown stomach cancer and I was going to lose my hair anyway.
Ross:Really, I'm sorry. If there's anything you need just tell me. Oh, can you tell me where you live so I can give you the stuff you made before the hospital thing.
I smiled and told her. I then walked down the stairs with the dream catchers in hand. "Hey kiddo."Joe said. "Hey, I have these for you guys."I said. I handed them their catchers. "They're amazing. Thank you."Sal said. I smiled. "Oh, and my friend Ross has stuff from school that she's going to bring here soon. Just to let you guys know."I said. They nodded. "I'm glad you have a friend. Someone other than us and Jessie to talk to."Joe said. I smiled and sat on the couch.
"Excuse me Jokers. There's a girl named Ross down here asking to go up. What do you want me to do?"Tony asked. "You can send her up every time she comes here. She's Emma's friend."Q said. "Alright, she's on her way."Tony said. I put my phone on the table and walked to the elevator.
The doors then opened to show Ross. "Hey Em. Nice to see you again."Ross said walking inside. I smiled. "You can put the stuff on the coffee table."I said. She nodded and put the stuff down. "Uh, Emma. This is my dad."Ross said pointing to a man that came up with her. "Nice to meet you."I said. "You too."he said. I nodded and looked at the ground. That's when Q asked her dad if he wanted a beer.
They went into the kitchen to talk. "Do you want to come up to my room?"I asked. "Sure."Ross said. I nodded and we walked up the stairs to my room. When we got up there Snow ran up to Ross. Ross laughed and pet her. "Is this Snow?"Ross asked. I looked at her. "It was on Murr's page."she said. I nodded. "Yeah, that's her."I said.
"So, what have you been up to?"Ross asked. "Nothing much."I said. "I have a question. Who was that lady downstairs?"Ross asked. "Oh, that's Jessie. My dads thought they'd want me to have a nanny when they're gone. You know just in case something happens."I said. "She just started yesterday too."I added. She nodded and sat at my desk. "So, how's school?"I asked. "Boring without you."she said. I nodded. "Ross, it's time to head home. You're mom's wondering where we are."her dad said. She nodded and we all walked down to the main floor.
"Come anytime you guys want."Joe said. They nodded and walked out of the house. "She's really nice."Sal said. I nodded and yawned. "Come on princess. Time for you to head to bed."Murr said. I nodded and walked up the stairs to my room. I then fell asleep.
