Chapter 1

Your POV

I watch ask the light dome forms and fades away. I know exactly what just happened to that small town. I look over to see the counsel, Erika, and Rory flying away. They don't know I'm alive. I was considered an enemy.

I trip over a branch a cut my leg. It actually hurts. I know I'm a Vampire, but I actually get hurt, and I don't heal straight away. Once I know they are far, I begin to fly. I don't know where I'm flying too, I'm just flying.

I fly for about a long time, the sun is rising. This is why I'm not like other Vampires, I'm not effected my the sun. I continue flying away from Oregon. I keep flying west. I get hit my an eagle and lose my track.

"Stupid bird." I flip the bird off as if it will actually offend it.

I keep flying. After what seems like forever, I lower myself down. I see a sign not to far from where I stand.

I look at the green and brown sign. Hawkins? Where in the world am I?

I continue to walk. I walk for again what seems like forever and I come across a school. Let me guess. "Hawkins Middle School" I find a sign that says exactly that. I hate towns that just name everything after itself. I see a group of boys, park their bikes at a bike rack. I move up to them. "Excuse me." I say, with a soft tone in my voice.

"Hi." The one with dark hair says. The curly haired one hits the darker haired one in the shoulder.

"I'm y/n. I'm from Oregon. I kinda came here alone." I explain the the boys. A car pulls up and another boy pops out. What.

"Hey guys! Who's this?" The short new encounter says. " I'm y/n. I don't really know where I'm at. I'm kinda maybe just a little bit lost. " I say again to the shorter boy. "Oh. I'm Will. This is prison! Well it's a school. But it's horrid. Your welcome to stay with us, if you'd like! We can show you around and do all kinds of stuff! You like Dungeons and Dragons?" He says, really fast and super excited. The darker haired boy just rolls his eyes, groans, and walks away. I flip him off since I don't know if I can swear I'm front of these kids.. They're the same age as me?  No, they can't be! Their like... Five!

"Don't worry about him. His "true love" left so he's a dick to every girl now. " the one with curly hair says. "I'm Dustin!"

"I'm Lucas! But you can call me... Anytime!" The darker skinned boy says. "Bad pick up line. How many have you tried that on? " I say. "Too many." He says ashamed. "How many had that worked on?" I ask. "Well.. If it worked on you that makes one."

The bell rings and they run inside. "Come on y/n!" Will yells at me. I run with them and get confused when I walk through the doors. This is much different then back in Oregon!

I just follow them to a class room. They all take their seats and I'm left alone in the front of the class. My clothes are all dirty and sweaty from running away and falling and getting hit my that stupid bird.

"Why hello there! I'm Mr. Clarke! And you are?" The man with the Hitler stache says to me. "I'm y/n." I say, a little nervous. "Well, y/n, tell us a little bit about yourself!" He says again.

"Well, I'm from Oregon. I don't really know where I'm at. I just kinda left my home and I didn't know or care to where I was going." I explain to the whole class.

"how old are you?" The man asks. This douche likes asking a lot of questions!
"I'm thirteen." I say. I went to high school because I was smarter than the average seventh grader. The boy with the darker hair laughs. I feel my cheeks heat up a little bit and my stomach does a barrel roll.

"Well, Ms. Y/n! You may sit over there next to Mike!" He says pointing to the empty chair next to the boy with darker hair. I walk over and sit down. I have nothing for this class. Why am I here? I never thought I would say this but I actually want to go home. I miss Sarah. I miss Benny. I miss Ethan. I miss Jade, Jane? I only miss them. But I know they are gone. And it's all my fault!
