Mike’s P.O.V.
Ch.11
I woke up and looked at the clock. It was midnight. Geez! How did I manage to sleep that long? I got up and the bed was empty. Jasmine must have went to eat or something. I went to the kitchen and saw a half-eaten bowl of ramen noodles. Jasmine usually leaves no trace of her being anywhere, that was weird.
I checked in the bathroom and guess what, no Jasmine. I started to worry, I walked outside and spent the next six hours searching the woods and everywhere around our house, I flew all the way to her old house and she wasn’t there either. I started panicking. I opened my cell phone and called Chad. I needed his help. He was great at finding people. He had an ability that allowed him to sense when he was near someone he knew, or in this case, someone he was looking for.
“Hey man what’s up?” he asked when he picked up.
“Chad, it’s Jasmine,” I said in a strained voice. “I can’t find her anywhere, I need your help.” There was a short pause.
“Okay, I’ll be over there in about twenty minutes.” He said and hung up. I flew back home. This was all falling apart. I had finally gotten her to trust me. I had fallen in love with her. Now she was gone. I just hoped she was alright, wherever she was…

I heard Mike’s dad’s alarm clock ringing, announcing that it was seven o’clock. I heard him open the door and go into his private bathroom. A few minutes later, he was dressed in his lab outfit and he smiled at me. “Well I’m not the only one ready to get this over with.” He went to a deep freezer at the end of the counter, pulled open its drawer and got the serum DNA.
“Maybe it will work perfectly, you’ll be a flying werewolf. Ha-Ha.” I flinched at the name. I imagined myself as my wolf with wings. It was weird.
“Mike will never forgive you!” I said coldly. He laughed even harder. This guy seriously has problems.
“Who cares what Mike thinks, I’m gonna ship him off to a lab in Ukraine anyway.” He readied a table with all kinds if gadgets to use on me. My heart sunk, Mike was going to be separated from me… I let the tears fall down my face. Mike’s dad just ignored it and I saw him get a tranquilizer. He shot me with it and I hoped the blackness would last forever…

I got tired of waiting, it had almost been twenty minutes. I ran outside, unfolded my wings, and flew to the end of our long driveway and waited at the end of the road. As soon as Chad saw me, he stopped and rolled his window down. “Where should we start searching?” he asked.
“Um… I looked all around the area, about five miles around, and I went to her old house, but I couldn’t find anything.” I groaned, my heart sunk. Chad closed his eyes and put his head on the headrest.
After ten minutes I checked my phone. It was eight-thirty. Chad flinched and opened his eyes. “Dude, she’s real close, she’s unconscious, and worried.” Oh, I forgot to mention he can feel the state of mind the person is in, if they are awake or asleep, and if they are happy, sad, scared, etc.
I felt as though I might pass out, I was freaking out. “Okay, um, let’s search around here.” I said and flew in circles around the woods, making sure I didn’t miss anything.
After thirty minutes of searching, Chad flagged me down. “Dude, I’m getting something, I think she’s in the house.” He said. He hopped in his car and sped towards the house. I bolted upwards and flatted my wings against my back, speeding towards the house at about one hundred miles an hour.
