 Ch.9

Mike was outside, asleep on a lounger. He must’ve been awake all night watching me sleep, or in pain, trying not to go all bird on me, which he failed at.

I walked over to him and stroked his hair, it was so silky. Ha. I went inside and relaxed for once, watching Vh1. I loved watching the music videos that came on every day. Mike had reserved only the music video shows like Jump Start and Top 20 to come on all the time. After about thirty minutes my stomach growled, of course. I cooked some bacon, yep bacon, again, and ate a few pieces.

I heard the elevator beep and the doors opened. I got chill bumps, his dad scares me. “Hi, Jasmine.” He said. He poured a glass of orange juice and got a few pieces of bacon and went back to the basement. I breathed a sigh of relief. I cleaned up the kitchen and went to check on Mike, its funny how I can’t stay away from him for more than ten minutes now. Oh well, he is like the only person I actually care about now, so yeah.

He was still asleep so I wandered around the house and saw how it has changed, which. Let’s just say it looks nothing like my old house on the inside, but it looks the same on the outside. I was curious about my monster self so I tried to turn into my wolf and it worked, and I was smart enough to take my clothes off so I wouldn’t shred them. It was harder turning back human though. After doing all of that, I finally went into the living room and looked out the door and saw Mike stretching, finally getting up, and walking towards the door.

He gave me yet another killer smile and hugged me close to him, then he went to the kitchen to eat. I went to take a shower and let him eat. The water was relaxing, it felt good to finally wash my hair with something different than cheap shampoo. I took about ten minutes in the shower and hurried and dried my hair. When I got out, Mike was waiting for me in my room. He was watching me as if I was an angel. He looked like one, he even had the wings. Ha-ha.

He nodded to the spot on the bed next to him, I sat down and he put his arm around me. “This has all been seriously crazy for you hasn’t it?” he asked. I nodded. He smiled. “Well, let’s hope it doesn’t get any crazier.” He laughed and got up, he turned around and looked at my room. “We really gotta fix your lamp, and your roof.” He motioned for me to scoot back and he moved to the center of my room and unfolded his wings, he jumped and -barely missing hitting his wing on a piece of wood when we flapped- flew to the top of the roof. He dialed his cell phone.

“Hey Chad? Yeah, it’s Mike. Do you think you can get somebody to fix the roof, I kinda made a hole in the ceiling.” He paused, listening. “Somebody that kinda knows about me, you know.” He said and nodded. “Okay, great, thanks. Yes, she came home.” He glanced at me. “Well, I’ll see you tomorrow, okay, thanks bye.” He closed his cell phone and came back down. I looked at him curiously.

“Chad? Didn’t he used to be in my fourth grade class?” I asked him. He nodded. “So he knows about you? When did he figure that out?” Mike sighed.

“Okay, well, when you left I went to your school to tell them you moved out of country, I enrolled to make it seem less weird that I was in town. I told them that I was a very distant cousin.” He sat back down next to me. “And Chad and I became friends, when we were in tenth grade, a few years ago, I cheated the school system and pretended I was fourteen when I enrolled, I was still having a hard time keeping my wings in, and he was over here playing video games, and I lost control of my wings and they unfolded and knocked him off of the couch and he almost broke his arm.

“You should have seen his face though.” He grinned. “He looked at me like I was a complete stranger for a few days, but he warmed up to me again, and now we are still best buds. I graduated last year, and Chad will graduate next year. Yep, that’s how everything went down.” He looked at me, I was shocked that I had missed so much. He laughed and got up. “Well, it’s almost noon, today has went by pretty fast, don’t you think?” he asked. I chocked back a laugh.

“Yeah, because you’ve been asleep, I’ve been kinda bored actually.” I said. He looked at me and he smiled evilly.

“Bored?” he asked still smiling. “Well, I can fix that!” he exclaimed and started tickling me. He was very strong. The more I struggled against his hands, the tighter the grip he got, he finally quit and I realized the position we were in…

I was on the bed, lying on my back and he was on top of me, his face inches from mine. He slowly bent his head down to mine and took me into the best kiss he has ever given me, my heart raced frantically and I felt as though we were in a room full of sparks and electricity and lights, he pulled back from me and smiled and continued kissing me, growing wilder every second until you know what happens after that.

Let’s just say that I was mesmerized by him. I fell asleep and relived those few hours in my dream, it was the best day of my life!

I woke up and I noticed Mike was asleep next to me, I glanced at the alarm clock on the nightstand and it was five o’ clock. I had only been asleep for three hours. I stroked Mike’s cheek, and kissed him. He was so warm, I wanted to never move again. That’s when my stomach growled. Grr, my stomach always had to ruin the best moments!
