Chapter 36

Ellie's P.O.V

When I went back to the living room to Lucas and Rachel I was happy to see them still talking, nothing looked awkward and they looked like they were friends. I may be being selfish but I really hope Rachel does decide to move into the mansion with us. She doesn't even have to stay with Lucas, just with me. It would be good to her a lot more. I'm glad I don't need to lie to her no more, it also means I get to see her a lot more as well now that I don't need to pretend I'm in Australia.

I walked into the living room and sat down beside Rachel. She smiled at me and then continued to talk to Lucas. We all talked and laughed and I had a really good day. We ordered pizza and watched a few movies before it was time for us to go back to the mansion.

"So what do you think, are you going to come live in the mansion in us?" I ask her when Lucas leaves the room to go to the toilet

"I don't know, don't you think it's to soon?" She says, I get where she's coming from but she doesn't have to get together with Lucas she could just move in.

"Well I understand if you don't want to be with Lucas straight away obviously your going to want to get to know him better but you could still move in, think about it you'd be with me all day and live in a mansion!" I say hoping to change her mind. I need her there with me, call me selfish but I have missed her so much and I don't want to be away from her anymore than I have to be and from now on she could be with me every day

"I don't know, it's too much I mean they are Mafia men Ellie, they are dangerous and mean and killers I respect if you want to be with them but as of right now I don't want to be near them I'm sorry" she says, I understand and I want mad at her

"They aren't all mean actually, yeah we are dangerous and yes we kill people but we don't kill innocent people" Lucas says, me and Rachel snap our heads to the living room door not expecting him to be there.

"I never meant it like that" Rachel says

"Yes you did but it's okay because your allowed to think whatever you want and if you don't want to be around us then fine, I guess this was all just a waste of time. You should have just told me earlier" Lucas says, I feel bad because he looks so disappointed. "Ellie we need to go now, I'll meet you in the car" he says and walks out of the room. Rachel tries to stop him but he already walked away

"I feel bad, I didn't mean for him to hear and get upset about it. I'm just scared Ellie and I don't know how you can cope so well with being around all them men, they are so dangerous and, and I don't think I could manage as well as you" she says, I pull her in for a hug

"I completely understand you don't need to explain yourself, it's a lot to take in and it's a lot to handle as well, I honestly don't know how I handle all the men"I laugh "you don't need to move in if your not comfortable I won't hold it against you and I'm sure Lucas will understand" I say

She shakes her head "he's mad at me now, he probably hates me for what I said"

"No he won't, I'll talk to him don't worry about it, right now all you need to worry about is me because I hung up on Kai earlier when he was in the middle of talking to me" I laugh

"Well good luck, text me" She says as we get to the door, I give her one last hug and we says our goodbyes and love yous before I make my way downstairs and into the car.

I get in the car and l we start to drive back to the mansion. "Hey she didn't mean what she said, she's just scared and it's a lot to take in" I say

Lucas sighs "I know and what she said was true, we are dangerous and killers and we are mean, she was just saying the truth and I understand if she didn't want to be anywhere near us, it's probably better of that way, she'll be more safe"

I roll my eyes"now your just feeling sorry for yourself, your not a mean person your kind and funny and I love to hang around with you, in fact if it wasn't for you I would be so scared and upset in that place, I probably wouldn't give Kai a chance and in fact I'd probably would have gone mad, your my best friend Lucas! Yeah you might be dangerous and yeah your kill people but your better than some of the other Mafias who don't care who they kill, you still have a heart and if anything I'd say that this Mafia that your apart of is the best one with the best people, and one of the safest places anyone yous all care about could be because yous won't let anything happen to anyone yous love" I say, Lucas turns to look at me, a smile on his face

"I love you so much Ellie, you'd like my little sister and honestly I would die for you, your my best friend and you have a heart of gold, your fun to be around and you always make me laugh and feel better just like right there" He says and reaches over to give me a quick hug before the lights go green
