ch-19 Why no one messes up with Samurai's Country?

I would be more then happy to correct any illogical scenario, grammatical mistakes or any other suggestion.

When we all looked at Tsunade for answer. She again made that proud face by uplifting her chin a little bit while straightening her back. I thought in my mind that nobody could imagine that this flat chest of little lolita will grow up to be something which everybody could remember for.

Tsunade didn't even looked at us, just said in a casual tone that "Samurai's are not be messed with." Her tone was like, it is just a common fact.

She is grand-daughter of strongest man in shinobi who brought peace to world and also daughter of country's highest noble that's why she is called princess. She has politically(country's noble) and power-wise(Senju clan) great background. So, I do want to hear her opinion.

She continued, "First there are lot of samurai who have strength almost equal to hokage level or if not but we still cannot underestimate them."

"Second, although main country for samurai is Land of Iron but all scattered samurais across the world could be somehow linked to each other. Because real samurais have same philosophy. To maintain peace and live by the sword. So, if shinobis target samurai country than it could let them reunite all the samurais of the world."

"Third, and most important is, almost all business activities and protection of common people in world is done by samurais. And mostly common man contributes to the productivity of the world like food, clothing and other things. So, targeting samurai is just like making the world more chaotic. If common people cannot safely produce anything then shinobi will also starve."

"So, In a way samurais have maintained very delicate world balance. Which we all people whether it is shinobi, common man, noble or aristocrats understands the importance of samurai and also respects them."

I said "Hmm, so it is like they are police force to maintain world order of common people."

She added "Although what you said is just partially correct. You forget that the first sentence i said that --'Samurai are not be messed with'--."

I asked "so if any village fights Iron Country,is it difficult to win?"

She said "Yes, exactly"

I thought to myself, whether there are some more changes from the anime world or not. Because I never really heard people debating about whether shinobi or bunch of powerful S-class rouge ninja could concur Iron country or not.

But all this information told me that i still have decent chance to get stronger in this slightly modified naruto world. Because for me only samurai's path is what left to become more stronger.

After entering the inn, I separated from the group and went to my own room. After putting my stuff on the table, I just lied down at the bed looking at the ceiling. I remembered back in the village when Konoha Secret force people came to my doorstep and asked me to join spy organization.

I was surprised at the fact that village also recruit powerless guys as their spy. In this crazy world, I am just slightly above than the bottom of food chain. And they knew exactly what I wanted. They offered me some occult and forbidden techniques which would make me stronger. But I guess, it will be detrimental to my life span.

I knew that they approached me because I have already passed their radar of village's trusted people. Like the ramen guy who served Naruto free ramen in anime. He was as much trusted person of the village as other ninjas who have powers.

But the job they gave me was more like a cannon fodder who could die at any moment. I wanted to tactfully refuse them without letting them feel that i don't want to serve village. I told them, I needed some time to think but also showed a little greed for the occult techniques in my eyes.

They let me go. May be, they really believed my acting when i showed greed for techniques. And thought that i would definitely say yes. Although, I deceived them this time but I don't think that I would be able to refuse them again. So, I packed up my luggage and moved out of the village in the name of training.

May be I was overthinking. But this world is not that liberal. I have realized it in past 10 years. If there is an order passed of any kind, then there is not much any free will for villagers to refuse. Whether you are a person from clan or an ordinary person.

Even geniuses who just graduated from the school have to participate in wars on front line as cannon fodders. If one out of 100 survived than he would become some powerful guy. I think this is how village elder thinks or may be there are really lack of trusted ninjas that you have to send a 5-6 year old kid at front line who do not have much fighting power.

I have become more eager to gain power, so that i could control my own destiny.

I heaved sigh. I have escaped and i don't have to become cannon fodder anymore.May be i will move back when i am confidant about my powers but for now, I have decided to settle here in Iron country. I don't know if those people from spy organization could come here also. But I assumed that I would not be an important person in their list for recruitment. So, I could spend few years here away from village.

One more thing, I knew from this encounter that a powerless person sitting on roadside might be some organizations' spy. Because before i never thought that people who do not have power like common businessman, paddlers or even villagers can be recruited into village's spy organization. So, Now I cannot really behave differently even if i am among ordinary people.
