a birthday surprise {oh sehun}

sehun's pov

i woke up to my annoying alarm and the bright sun peeking through the curtains, just like any other day for the past 2 months. except it's not like every other day. it's my birthday. i open my eyes to see a few balloons around my room. it was probably minseok. she would usually do this every year for me. all i wanted was to see her. i want to wake up to her curly hair in my face. i wanna hold her and rock from left to right with her. i want to hear her saying 'happy birthday'. i rub my eyes as i stand up and wobble to the bathroom to shower.

no messages. no calls or texts. nothing. i haven't heard from her all day. i texted her a 'good morning' like i usually do everyday but she didn't reply. i've been trying to not let it bother me but it's all i've been thinking of. is she okay? what is she doing? has she forgotten about me? has she forgotten about my birthday?

"come on, let's all stand in a line." suho hyung said and we all obeyed his order. i knew that they planned something but i was feeling down from earlier so this might cheer me up.

"as you all know, it's our maknae sehun's birthday today." chanyeol said, making the crowd go wild. i shyly smiled, rubbing the back of my neck.

"yes, and we have a surprise for you, oh sehun so sit down." baekhyun stated while pushing me towards a stool.

"wait, what's going on?" i questioned.

"well, it wouldn't be a surprise if we told you." kyungsoo said flatly while smiling. kai ran towards me and blindfolded me with a scarf. i sighed, waiting for what was about to happen.

after a few seconds, the crowd started screaming, making me wonder what was going on. i could hear whispers and shuffling but none of that gave me any hints of what was going on. i felt a pair of hands releasing me from the blindfold and i blinked repeatedly to gain my vision back.

her pov

i stood in front of him with a cake in my hand as i watched jongdae take off his blindfold. he blinked a lot of times before the fans and his members joined me in singing happy birthday. he stared at me as if i wasn't real. i giggled and pushed the cake towards him for him to blow out the candles but he wouldn't stop looking at me. i could see his eyes watering as he looked deeply into my eyes.

"blow out the candles, baby" i whispered softly only for him to hear. he blinked back into reality and blew out his candles. i handed the cake to suho and i jumped into sehun's arms. we held eachother for what felt like forever until i saw sehun's shoulders bouncing up and down. i broke the hug and held his face to see that he was sobbing.

"stop crying sehunnie. i'm here now, okay?" i reassured, thinking that only he could hear me but i quickly realised that his mic was still on so the fans could hear everything. the aww's of the exo-l echoed through the building as i gave sehun a quick peck on the lips.

"happy birthday baby."

just a quick little story for y'all as a way of apologising for not uploading anything for the past month or so. i've been sooo busy with my upcoming exams that are coming next month so i might not be able to upload a whole lot. anywhoooo, TODAY IS MY BABY OH SEHUN'S BIRTHDAY!
