we were all backstage, waiting for our turn to perform. i've always been nervous everytime i perform but this time, it was different. i was performing in front of chanyeol. on top of that, i was performing my solo song called "desire" which has a "sexy" concept to it. i started breathing in and out slowly which caught jennie's attention.
"you okay, y/n?" she asked, worry filling her eyes.
"yeah, just a bit nervous. i've never performed live in front of chanyeol since he became my boyfriend."
"aw, no need to be nervous. he's gonna love the performance. especially 'desire'." she said wiggling her eyebrows, causing me to laugh. i don't know how she did it but most of my nerves disappeared. as if on cue, they called out our group name, signalling that it's our turn to perform. I ran on stage by myself to start my solo song. the music started and the spotlight was on me.
as i sung the chorus, i could see chanyeol on the big screen and his expression made me giggle mid-way though my performance. his eyes glistened as his mouth was open wide. he was practically frozen in time. his members were all laughing at him as kai shook him, returning him back to reality. i sung the last line and walked slowly to my starting position to perform 'DDU-DU DDU-DU'.
the fanchants echoed through the building which fueled me to do my best. jennie finished her rap verse so i started mine. as soon as the mic hit my lips, the camera focused on chanyeol, who was rapping with me while bobbing his head. when the camera left his face, i looked around the crowd to see if i could find him. i think he realised what i was doing because he stood up and because of him being a giant, i found him immediately. i grinned brightly at the sight and continued dancing. when the chorus came, kai, chanyeol, baekhyun and sehun all stood up and did the "gun" move with us. we all started laughing but that didn't stop us from dancing.

we were finished with our performance and we just finished with our makeup touch-ups and returned to our original outfits.

as expected, our seats were next exo's seats with me seated in between chanyeol and lisa. as we made our way to our seats, chanyeol looked at me with the biggest smile on his face, his dimples visible on his cheeks. i returned a giggle and sat next to him. as soon as i sat down, he wrapped an arm around me and connected our lips quickly, which made the fans around us scream in delight. he laughed lightly and his lips made their way to my ear.
"i'm gonna hit you with my ddu-du ddu-du when we get home, jagiya." he whispered. i looked at his serious face for a few seconds before we both burst out laughing.
"that was so bad, yeollie!" i said, with tears forming in my eyes.
"i'm being serious, y/n!" he whined, still laughing.
"aw, i love you, my little baby." i giggled, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
