The Return

As your driving with sledge he keeps looking over at you almost like he sees something behind or around you. You feel worried for him as you feel guilty for putting him into a spiral after your Coma. You never wanted to make him feel this way, but there was nothing you could do you were trapped and had to do something.

"Wanna listen to some music?" You ask this to help lower the tension that surronds you, you cant help but notice but see a tear go down his cheek.

Sledge: "You know what sure. I am gonna tell you something that I have never told anyone." You look up from your phone while trying to find the perferct song for the moment. 

"Hmm, what would that be?" You ask confident but are deeply terrified for what it might be.

Sledge: "There has never ever been a women that I have ever loved." We quickly adds "But, I also dont like men. Not that if you are I am not supportive of you because I am." He says flustered as starts to turn red.

"Dont worry I understand I have felt the same way until I met this one girl she was absolutely stunning. I could not stop thinking about her, we went on a couple of dates. Until one day she was taken and killed. I could not live through the guilt I shunned everyone at the S.A.S HQ away from me and I never even talked to my best friend for a solid 3 months until one day I heard you were coming for a vist. I shaved I cleaned up I did everything to look my best for you." You look up from your phone to see more tears forming in his eyes.

Sledge: "I-I-I.." he starts to zone out and he restarts his sentance. "Look I want you to know that the reason I went over to the S.A.S HQ was to help myself get out of it as well. The thing is I feel like your the only thing that I did right." He pulls over to look over at you. "You see I never really remember anything untill about the age of when I heard about you. Before that my life was a rinse and repeat cycle of working out and practicing than missons. When I adopted you it added something to my life that was un accounted for it helped me really see what was infront of me." He started to cry even more just thinking about it than kisses you cheek (Non-Sexualy got make this clear) and starts to drive again.

Time Skip You Have Arrived Back to Base to See that Echo Was waiting

Echo: "I think you forgot to call someone." He says smiling smugly.

"Not right now I still dont feel in the mood for Twitch to come back, I dont want to hurt another person I love."

Echo to Sledge: "What happened out there?" He asked worried.

Sledge: "Trust me you dont want to know unless you want to feel like your meaningless than meet me in our dorm in 10."

Back To your POV

You arrive back to your dorm to see Thatcher was waiting for you. You make eye contact with him and just turn around to walk away but you get blocked in by Smoke.

"Please, leave me alone." You say full of emotions. You push smoke out of the way and run to the shooting range. You pick up a weapon and start to practice hoping they wouldnt check in here. You hear them walking by and hear one walk up to you and than they tap your shoulder trying to get your attention.

Thatcher: "Dude, we need to talk its just gonna be the two of us ok?" you finish firing your weapon and agree politely. You enter your room and you and Thatcher take a seat at the dinning room table.
