The Awakening (I'm Back Why I was ACTUALLY Gone at the end)

3rd Person POV

It was a cold night and Mute was snuggled up along Sledge, but he seemed bothered by something. Almost as if something was eating him up from the inside, out. It was a parasite of betrayal. He couldn't imagine having feelings for another man, but he felt so right with the little man. He never understood why he felt like that until, The Awakening.

Mute was awoken by the alarm on his phone ringing but this time he didn't snooze it, he got up at 6 am and headed to the gym this frustration and anger was building up in him. It came out of no where. Almost as if it was an itch that had no trace. He was the strongest man in the gym, but he could keep up. It was too early for anyone to be in the gym at this time, and it was a miracle that he woke up and not Sledge. Mute started off in the 60's and 70's for his bi's and tri's but today was normal day as it was a full body work out. He knew that if he was to do much on this mission he was going to need to gain some weight. He stayed in the gym for nearly 2 hours before heading back to his dorm to take a shower.  He arrived to be greeted by Sledge holding up Mute's phone, and it said he had 12 unread message from the same number. Luckily he had the setting on his phone where it wouldn't say the message. Just who from, an unidentified number. Mute: "Hey! Gimme That!" Mute said this as Sledge held it above his head. He knew this is the way he acted when he was pissed. He stalled. Sledge: "Who is this bloke! Have you been seeing another man!" He said this furiously almost throwing the phone against the wall but catching himself. Mute: "I honestly don't know." Let me see the messages. Please. Sledge tossed Mute's phone onto the couch and went into the bathroom, and locked the door. Mute Opened his phone and the messages were what is followed.

???(Unidentified number)- Hey Wanna meet up?

???- Hey you there?

???- Come on man. You can tell me to fuck off.

It Basically continued like that for 9 more messages.

Mute- I'm here and who is this?

???- Oh Hey Mark! Sorry for Spamming you. Thought you were ignoring me.

Mute- Still didn't answer my question. Who Dis?

???- My Bad mate! Its me Max (Mozzie)!

Mute- OK, Thank You. Now Whats up?

Mozzie- I was gonna wonder if you wanted to go on that trip!

Mute- No, but thanks for the offer. I think i'm just gonna hang around the base.

Mozzie- OK, See You around.

And with that the text message mess ended. Sledge emerged from the bathroom wrapped up in a towel, but Mute was to concentrated to notice the noise.

Sledge: "So who was that? You seemed really zoned in on your phone that I almost walked out naked." He said this sarcastically, but you both knew he would and he knew Mute would enjoy it. Mute's face glowed red at just the thought. Mute: "Maybe you should have." Mute said this still concentrated on his phone. And at that exact moment Sledge just dropped the towel, and left Mute in awe as he just stared. Neither knew what to do, so Sledge made the first move and put on some new clothes than just said "I got us reservations at a nice brunch place." He put on a nice solid white shirt and put a button up over it but didn't button it up. He also put on some blue jeans and headed over to the couch and sat down. "Now snap out of it and go get ready." He barked this but only made Mute more heated. Mute ran into the Bathroom stripped and jumped into the shower. He hummed in the shower as he washed. He hoped out of the shower and put on some clothes he went for a more relaxed look. A nice polo with jeans. A simple look for a simple man. They both hoped into a car and drove to a small restaurant. It was family owned, and very cozy looking. They walked in and sat down. As usually they got their few dirty looks and their very happy looks. They tried to ignore the dirty ones, but today this one lady was an ass.

Lady: "Excuse me this is a family restaurant. Not for your people." The words stung like a bee sting to Mute.

Sledge: "Please, leave. Why are you bothering us. We had a very long couple days. And in all honesty are going to have to leave in 3 days. So, I would like to stay here with my boyfriend." Mute knew Sledge meant every word he just said. 

Lady: "I could reassure you my work is much harder than yours!" She said this boldly and confidently. At that moment both Sledge and Mute noticed. Lion and Doc walk into the room. They heard it from the outside and acted like they didn't know each other. 

Sledge: "Oh Please Enlighten Us." He said this almost genuine, but anyone who knew sledge could tell when he was being sarcastic. 

Lady: "First I have to wake up at 6 AM to wake up my kids, than I have to get ready, than I have to go to work. Where I have to do tons of manual labor. Than I have to pick up my kids at 3:45. Drop them off at home. Than I go back to work until about 7 PM rinse and repeat and that's my day 5-days a week." She said all of this as if it was the hardest thing in the world.

Sledge: "Well, that is quite impressive, but our line of work is much greater and harder you see..."

A/N: Sorry to leave you here, i'm back fr this time. Sorry I left for sometime I have been going through a lot more shit than normal. I never felt inspired, but I have a new Language Arts teacher that has gotten me back into the mood. You can expect this story to end in the next 3-4 parts with a very sad ending. Sorry its ending. If you want to continue writing for me do it in the next 4-5 weeks before I wrap this one up and focus on the Bandit one. Any ways <3 Cheers love Moose Out.
