I danced into my room and Dillon sat eagerly upon my bed, her legs were crossed as she leant back on her arms. She licked her lips, maybe it was subconsciously, but it erupted excitement in my stomach.

"I've got a bone to pick with you" she scowled, narrowing her eyes towards me.

"Yes, sunshine?" I asked sarcastically and she groaned and forced me to sit next to her on the bed, her seriousness panicked me at first.

"Your bitchass only calls me round when you're filming, I don't remember the last time we did something fun" she pouted.

I threw myself back on my bed with my legs still dangling off of the edge. I tried to bite my cheek so that I didn't say anything that could potentially offend her.

"In my defence you're the person who doesn't want to be seen out with me. There's limited things we can do inside a house"

As soon as I said it I regretted it, I never wanted her to feel like because she had a problem with cameras that it made her any less of a friend. Truthfully it made her better, I knew she wasn't using me for clout I guess.

"Okay asshole, it's not that I don't want to be seen with you. Are you fucking with me?" She asked standing from the bed and looking at me with a questioning brow raise.

"Dilly, I didn't mean-" I reached out and pulled her towards me. She straddled my waist but her eyes still looked hurt and it was eating me away.

"Not that you'd want to show me off anyway" she barely said, I could've sworn that her lips didn't even move when she said it "wouldn't want your girlfriends knowing about me, it might lessen your chances of getting a fuck"

She tried to push herself off of me in anger but I held her thighs down. She clenched her jaw and if I hadn't been so panicked that I was about to loose her, I would've thought it was hot.

"Dillon, you can't say that, I'm the one who wants to show you off" I said assertively and the deepness of my voice made her flinch. "We could do more if you allowed me to show them who you are... that isn't my fault"

She laughed and looked up to the ceiling but I could tell that it was a pained chuckle, and I was right because when she looked back down a tear trailed from her eye.

"Dillon I'm sorry, it not your fault" I reached forward and cupped her face "it's not your fault" I repeated but she slightly shook her head in my hands.

She didn't speak which worried me, not even when I repeated her name over and over again to gain her attention.

"Let me show you off, Dilly, I'll look after you, please" I whispered bringing our faces together to brush noses but she closed her eyes to avoid eye contact.

"You don't understand" she whispered and her voice broke, which simultaneously shattered my heart.

"I know, I know" I panicked trying anything to get her back to being her again. "Are you ever going to tell me?" I asked much softer and her eyes screwed together to stop tears.

Fuck I just wanted to hug her until she was happy again but currently all her tears were my fault.

She didn't even answer me, she pushed herself off of me and headed for the door but I physically couldn't allow her to leave being upset.

"Dillon Marla Jones" I snapped pulling her back and pushing her body up against the door, stopping her from leaving with one of my arms.

Tears flooded her face but somehow she didn't even make a noise, she was just silent as if she was a professional at keeping her emotions hidden.

"Kian" her voice croaked when she spoke "I really need to leave before I pass out" I looked down to the way her hands violently shook. I reached out and grabbed hold of her.

"I'm not leaving you, c'mon, let's go get some air"

She looked down skeptically at our interlocked fingers but didn't move, she licked a tear from the corner of her lip and shook her head.

"You could pick anyone else to be your friend and you could show them off, you don't need me"

She looked up towards me so vulnerable and I felt like shouting but I composed myself and gritted my teeth before calmly saying,

"There's no one else, Dilly, only you"

I wish I could've bottled the millisecond after I told her that, before the door she was pressed against knocked.

"Kian" called a female voice through the door, I honestly had no idea who it was, maybe Chelsey but the accent was a little more cocky "baby" she called.

Dillon's eyes sparkled as she looked up to me, my whole body flooding with guilt.

"Yeah only me" she laughed quietly before pulling open the door and pushing past the girl stood at my door. She sent her a dirty look as she broke out the room and I felt my blood boil.

But I didn't go running after her.
