"Any sign of Gohan yet?" Bulma asked nervously, trying her best to calm down after everything that had just happened.
"No sign of anything..." Krillin mumbled while staring at the sky intently. "I'm beginning to think that something terrible has happened to him. After seeing Vegeta take out that monster, I don't want to think about what he could do to Gohan... Come on Gohan, hurry..."
Just then a light in the distance appeared, getting closer and closer as they both squinted at the approaching figure, hoping it was who they were waiting for...
"Hey! Krillin!" Gohan shouted before landing in front of them. "You guys, look what I found!" He said excitedly, holding the dragonball above his head.
"Woohoo!" Bulma cheered, throwing her hands up as the bald man ran forward and hugged the boy. "Way to go Gohan!"
The dark haired child laughed, handing the ball to Krillin with a smile.
"Uh Gohan..." Krillin mumbled, frowning as he thought about what had occurred only moments ago. "We'll have to save the celebrating until later because right now, we've gotta get out of here..."
"What? Hey, where's Luna?"
Bulma sighed, looking down as Krillin took a deep breath before explaining what had happened while he was gone...
...
Meanwhile, with Luna and Vegeta...
...
"Vegeta! What the hell are you thinking?!" Luna shouted, unsure of what to do now that she was alone with the Saiyan Prince. He didn't even glance back at her as they both flew forward, his hand still clamped tightly around her wrist.
What does he want with me? She wondered, staring at the back of the Saiyan's head as she tried to come up with a plan of action. I have to get back to Bulma and Krillin... I have to warn Gohan not to- Oh no! She realized suddenly, cursing her own stupidity for not thinking about it sooner. Vegeta said he had all the dragon balls... The one Gohan went to find... Vegeta left it there on purpose! And now we must be going back to where he hid the rest!
Luna frowned, hoping by some miracle that they wouldn't run into Gohan on the way.
Please Kami... Just let him find the dragonball and hide... Because when Vegeta finds out he took it, all hell is going to break loose...
The two continued to fly, well more like Luna tried to fly at Vegeta's speed, but ending up being dragged along by the stronger man until they reached the remains of a Namekian village. Vegeta descended quickly, catching her by surprise as she gasped, nearly falling to the ground as they landed. Just as she was about to say something, the Saiyan turned around, glaring at her angrily.
"Don't even think about running away." He commented seriously, staring at her until she nodded her head. He smirked, walking up to a nearby lake and casting her one last glance before diving in.
"Phew..." Luna breathed in relief, glad to be out from under his watchful eye, if only for a moment. She took in her surroundings, noticing that there were many freshly dug piles of dirt everywhere along with all the debris from the torn apart houses. Each one had a stick protruding from it's center as she realized instantly what they were. Luna bowed her head respectfully, saying a small prayer for all those who had perished.
Gohan must have buried them... She thought, happy that the young boy was so conscientious. Vegeta probably hadn't even noticed... If he did, he'd be much more worried about his precious dragon ball-
Just then, the aforementioned Saiyan shot out of the water, making Luna jump as he landed directly in front of her, looking absolutely livid.
"WHERE IS IT?!" He shouted, dropping the ball under his arm before grabbing her shoulders roughly. "TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!"
"I... I..." Luna stammered, unable to look away as she crumbled under the angry Saiyan's gaze. "I d-don't know anything-"
"LIAR!" He roared, grabbing her by the neck and holding her off the ground as her green eyes went wide. "If one of those pathetic Earthlings took it, I'll-"
A look of shock crossed the prince's face as he dropped Luna, realizing instantly what had happened.
"No... It was that boy..." He murmured to himself as Luna coughed, rubbing her sore neck as she watched him figure it out. "I sensed him on the way here! That little brat stole it from me! But how?! How did he know it was here?!" Vegeta glared at Luna again as she attempted to back away from him.
Oh no... Gohan... She thought, panicking as she knew Vegeta wouldn't just let the boy go after something like this...
"You..." He growled, stepping towards her before yanking her up by the front of her dress. "We're going to go pay your friends a little visit and get back what is mine!"
Before she could protest, Vegeta threw her under his arm before rocketing forward with a huge blast of energy towards the place he had last seen the Earthlings.
"WHEN I FIND YOU, I'LL KILL YOU!" He screamed, shaking with rage, "YOU'RE DEAD! I SWEAR IT!"
No... No... No... Luna thought, praying that Krillin and Bulma had chosen another place to lay low. Please don't be there...
In what seemed like a minute, they were back at the cave as Vegeta dropped Luna and the dragonball before clenching his fists and looking around.
"Rghh, where are you boy?! I want that dragonball!" Vegeta looked towards the cave, running inside before quickly realizing it was empty as he let out a roar, blasting the whole thing apart furiously.
"NOOOOO!"
Luna scrambled behind the dragonball, shielding her face from the tiny bits of rock that flew in her direction as she watched Vegeta blast apart the landscape around them with wide eyes.
This is not good...
