Chapter 14: The Ginyu Force

"Here I am Kakarot!" Vegeta shouted, glaring towards the building as he waited for the Saiyan to show himself. The spiky haired man was definitely not expecting what happened next...

Vegeta smirked, sensing his power approaching as he watched the door, waiting eagerly as the person in question stepped through.

"Gohan!" Luna cheered, smiling as his gaze softened for a bit while he glanced in her direction before returning his attention towards Vegeta.

"What?!" Vegeta shouted, taking a step back in surprise. "You... But your... Your power level... What is this place? What have you done?!"

Gohan just continued to glare at him as Krillin chuckled, enjoying seeing the Saiyan somewhat dumbfounded and uncomfortable for once.

I guess Gohan got his power up... Luna thought, watching as Nail and Gohan continued to stare down the man in front of them. I really hope Vegeta keeps his promise...

Vegeta growled, glancing from the Namekian to Gohan as he was obviously weighing his options before his trademark smirk reappeared on his face.

"Ha... Hahahahaha!" Vegeta roared, throwing his head back as he placed the hand that wasn't holding a dragon ball on his hip. "What? Am I supposed to be scared now just because you've gotten a little power boost? It changes nothing! You're still nowhere near my level so go ahead if you want, attack me!" He finished with a chuckle, staring down Gohan as the poor boy seemed to be losing his confidence in the situation.

Nail stepped forward suddenly, his serious expression never changing as everyone continued to obverse the tense scene before them.

"Your move." The Saiyan taunted, looking as though he was ready for a fight.

"Vegeta!" Luna said, the irritation in her voice obvious. "You promised you wouldn't hurt them!"

The Saiyan growled, frowning before turning around momentarily to glare at the purple haired girl.

"Woman, I-"

Just then, Dende came running out of the building looking extremely panicked as he got everyone's attention. "Hey! Hey, listen! Guru just told me there's some kind of powerful force headed straight for us!"

"Huh?"

"What?"

"What in the... Who's this 'Guru'?"

"Hey, he's right!" Krillin shouted, staring up as he continued, "Something is coming..."

"Yeah, that power level's huge..." Gohan commented, as Luna blinked in confusion.

I really need to get one of them to teach me how to sense power levels... She thought, watching as everyone stared up at the sky.

"Wait, I know! It's Goku!" Krillin said excitedly. "I knew he'd be here to save us!"

"Kakarot?!"

"I dunno... Are you sure Krillin?" Gohan said, sounding unsure. "It feels like... There's more than one..."

Vegeta's eyes went wide suddenly as he realized who was approaching. "No! Not them!"

Luna looked towards the Saiyan noticing that he actually looked frightened at this new power. That observation alone made her nervous. If Vegeta's worried... W-what are we going to do? She thought, absentmindedly picking up a long strand of lavender hair and playing with it while she waited for someone to let her know what was going on.

"1... 2... 3... 4... 5... It- It has to be... Damn it all! Frieza's called on the Ginyu Force!"

Luna's heart sank. No... N-no... Anyone but them... She prayed, remembering the stories she had heard while aboard Frieza's ship about their ruthless tactics and conquests.
