Hazel's POV:
people piss me off so much sometimes.
Once school ended, I went home pretty quickly.
Instead of going to Hayes' house like I normally would, I went back home to my apartment.
Technically I lived alone in this crappy apartment complex, but the only times I went there was to shower or do homework. 90% of the time I wasn't there.
The reason I wasn't going to Hayes' house was because he was an idiot and almost got us expelled.
As much as I hated that school, I still wanted to graduate and I've already been expelled twice before, a third time definitely wouldn't look the best on college applications.
I was writing stuff down in my notebook before my phone started to buzz.
I pick it up to see that Harvey texted me a few times.

buzz light year✨: hey are you okay?
buzz light year✨: I get it if you don't want to talk to me but I just wanna make sure you're okay
me: I'm okay
me: sorry for being a jerk earlier
buzz light year✨: it's okay, did I make you upset earlier?
me: no, it was Hayes
buzz light year✨: what'd he do?
me: he almost got him and I expelled
buzz light year✨: how?
me: past stuff, it's complicated
buzz light year✨: well you don't have to tell me more if you don't want to
buzz light year : wanna come over to my place?
me: will there be food?
buzz light year✨: yes 😂
me: okay I'm coming

"Kinda stupid that the principal found out almost a year later" Harvey says after I told him more about why I almost got in trouble.
"Right?" I take a bite of the sandwich I was eating.
"like you did that a year ago, a year ago he could've expelled you but now it shouldn't count because you didn't even do it recently" Harvey goes on about it.
"He won't expel me" I tell Harvey. "you're getting worked up about it" I chuckle.
"well you were upset about it" Harvey reminds me.
"yeah, a bit" I nod.
"what do you normally do on the weekends besides party?" Harvey asks me
"hmm I don't know" I shrug a little.
"Kids, dinner!" I hear Sara yell.
"that means I should probably leave huh?" I ask.
"no, you can stay for dinner" Harvey tells me.
"you sure?" I ask.
"Ashleigh stays for dinner all the time, your nice so of course my Mum would let you stay" he tells me.
"alright" I got up and walked out of his room with him.
"are you staying for dinner honey?" Sara asks me.
"if that's okay with you" I say politely.
"yes of course" Sara smiles as she walks into the kitchen.
"see I told you" Harvey grins at me.
I playfully roll my eyes before taking a seat at the table.
the food was amazing, and Harvey's Mum; Sara really liked me after that dinner.
