Harvey's POV:

"bro you should've told me that you were going to the arcade" Max and I were talking after I came home the next day.
"you didn't say you wanted to come" I shrug.
"you never asked" Max chuckles.
"you got me there" Harvey laughs along. "I figured you were probably busy hanging out with Ashleigh anyways" I admit.
"Ashleigh and I are done now" Max tells me.
"really?" I was shocked, I never thought Max would be able to do it but I guess I was wrong.
"yeah" Max nods. "I found out she cheated on me and that was the last straw" He tells me.
"who did she cheat on you with?" I ask.
"some guy in one of her classes, I don't care anymore" Max tells me.
"you seem like you care dude" I say.
"I don't" He shakes his head no. "Anyways, I would've been third wheeling if I went with you and Hazel anyways" he shrugs.
"no?"
"yes dude" he laughs. "you and Hazel act like such a couple"
"no we don't" I shake my head no.
"you guys hang out all the time, it's obvious when you look at each other, you took her to your favorite place and you obviously are attracted to her" Max says.
"friends can hang out a lot" I shrug. "plus it doesn't matter anyways, she doesn't date a lot of guys"
"oh trust me, she obviously likes you too" Max says.
"psh, no" I deny it as my phone starts to ring.
"is that her?" Max chuckles.
I look at my phone and see her contact calling.
"yeah" I nod.
"well answer it" Max laughs a little.
"right" I laugh and answered it. "Hey" I say.
"Hey Buzzlight year, what are you up to?" She asks.
"just hanging out with Max, what about you?" I reply.
"Just chilling at my house" she says.
"that's fun" I chuckle.
"invite her over dude" Max whisper shouts.
I give him a 'what?' look.
"let me see this" Max rolls his eyes and takes my phone. "Yo Hazel, it's Max"
"Hi Max" Hazel laughs a little.
"Harvey wants you to come over but he's too chicken to say anything" Max says.
"Harvey's such a loser sometimes" I hear Hazel laugh. "I'll be over soon" she says.
"okay" Max says and hangs up the phone. "that's how you do it"
"well now I sound lame" I chuckle.
"it wasn't that bad" Max laughs. "have fun with Hazel" he goes to walk out of the kitchen.
"wait Max" I say and he stops. "any tips for like flirting or something?" I ask
"compliment her, girls like that" Max starts. "Hazel is kinda different, but you know her so use that to your advantage I guess" Max shrugs. "you could try to kiss her if you want, that's about all I got"
"what if she doesn't want to kiss me?" I ask.
"then you know she's not interested" Max replies.
Max and I talked for about twenty more minutes until the doorbell rang.
"that's probably her" I tell Max.
"have fun" Max says and walks over to the stairs.
I walk over to the door and opened it, Hazel on the other side.
"Hey" she smiles, walking inside and taking her shoes off.
"Hey" I reply, walking over to the couch and sitting down.
Hazel sets her shoes down by the others and walks over to the couch, sitting down next to me.
"How you doing?" She says in a funny voice.
"I'm alright" I shrug. "you?"
"I'm good" she replies. "why are you trying to act all cool?" she asks, looking a little confused.
"what do you mean?" I nervously laugh.
"you're hair is all gelled up, you're shrugging, and you're wearing a lot of cologne" she explains, smiling a little.
"just trying a new look I guess" I make up an excuse.
"oh okay" her smile disappears.
"but uh what do you wanna do?" I ask her.
"seems like you have everything planned out already mr cool guy" she teases me. "you decide"
"we could watch Netflix and chill or something" I tried not to cringe at the words coming out of my own mouth.
"Netflix and chill?" She looked at me confused.
"yeah, or whatever" I shrug.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom" she gets up, walking down the hallway.
While she walks down the hallway I whip out my phone and texted Max.

me: I sound like an idiot

twin brutha: dude relax, you probably don't sound that bad

me: I just used the term "Netflix and chill"
me: then she said she was gonna go to the bathroom, pretty sure it doesn't get worse than this
