"Hey! Calm down, your bursting my ear drums." He complained.

"I SHOULD CALM DOWN!? I SHOULD CALM DOWN!? YOU JUST POPPED INTO MY CAR! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN!?" I complained. "Oh, my gosh, I just had a dude appear in my car and I have no idea what to do. Maybe I should call Jacob."

"I'm sorry to intrude on you and your ice-cream, but I do believe I should be the one 'freaking out'." He stated calmly. His voice though, was almost as silky as an angels, and if I hadn't liked someone already I would have fallen for him.

"Well, you do have a point, I guess." I breathed. "So before I move this car anywhere. Who. Are. You?"

"I have noticed that you and I are not acquainted. My name is Marin Dupain-Cheng."

"Okay then. My name is Aimée Elizabeth Agreste, daughter of Emilié Agreste. My father passed away when I was three and I am an only child, and I am seventeen years old. My mother is the best fashion designer there is. So, you?"

"Formality is not exactly what I was headed for, but since you implied. I am Marin Salem Dupain-Cheng, son of Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng, I am eighteen, and also an only child. My parents own the 'Boulangerie Patisserie'. That's just about all you need to know."

"Quick question. Why is your last name Dupain-Cheng, and not just Dupain? Assuming that Dupain is your father's last name." I questioned.

"It's that way because my mother is from China, leaving her to be part Chinese. Her father was Parisian, her mother Chinese, full Chinese, may I add. So there the last name of the husband stays while the wife adds on. Let's say the last name Shang and Hou, the Man marries a woman with the last name Hou, leading the children to have the last name of Shang-Hou. It's just Chinese culture."

"Well that's a good lesson, Mr. Dupain-Cheng. Thank you for that bit of information." I replied with slight sarcasm. "Well, since we are acquainted I guess it's time to go home. So, um, since you're from another time, I'll take you to my place and sort things there."

As I started the car, I grabbed my phone and dialed Jacob's number. I pulled out and started home as I explained to Jake what had happened.

"Okay, so there's a guy in your car from some past time? And you have no clue what is going on?" He asked through the phone.

"Yes?"

"That's not an answer."

"Yes, fine! I have no bloody clue what's going on, only that he's is in my car and we are headed to my house. Cause he has no where else to go."

"Um... are you sure he should be at your house? You don't even know who he is, AND he's a guy. Shouldn't he stay at, i don't know, my house? It only makes sense."

"One, how many times have you stayed at my house for an escape? Two, neither of us know him so why should it matter? And three, if you felt safer he is not sleeping in my bed, that's just awkward. You can, though, come and stay while he's here. I wouldn't mind."

"Okay, fair point, I get the couch in your room right? We'll just pull out the air mattress for him. I would still feel safer if he stayed at my house."

"I know, Jacob, but he knows me more than he does you. So, we'll figure it out in the morning. In the meanwhile, pack your things, I'll be home in less than ten minutes. And yes, you can have the couch. How you find sleeping on it comfortable I'll never know." I said.
