Charlene's POV

"Do you want to golf together?"

I just starred at him for a bit..."Um...sure."

I grabbed my bag and headed over to him.

*And so they golfed the 9 holes, discussing things, and asking each other questions*

"Thanks for inviting me to golf with you!" I said to him as we walked back to the clubhouse.

"It's no problem. It was nice not golfing by myself for once." He replied.

"Yeah! It was nice for me too. I don't really have anyone to hang out with so, it's nice to have human interaction that isn't utterly awful." I laughed back.

"Really? You don't hang out with anyone?" He asked curiously looking at me with a quirked brow.

"No. I don't have any friends. It's just me, myself, and I." I shrugged.

"I'll be your friend. Someone you can hang out with. You seem nice, I don't get why people wouldn't want to hang out with you." He smiled.

I looked at him. Did this guy just WILLINGLY want to be my friend? He's got to be crazy...oh wait...never mind. "Thanks, others just don't seem to get me I guess." I say back.

"You seem fine to me. Even better than fine. Most people I know aren't this nice."

"I could say the same." I reply smirking.

He laughs, and I join with him.

We make it back to the clubhouse and start heading out to the parking lot.

"This is my stop." He says stopping by a red car (I don't really know my cars, so I couldn't tell if it was fancy or not, but it did look well kept).

"Well, I'll be seeing you." I say as I start walking with my clubs back to my house

"See ya!" He yells after me.

I raise my hand and wave looking over my shoulder. He waves back.

When I reach the corner exiting the golf course I hear a door open. I look and see Thomas looking at me with a questioning look.

"You're...walking Home?" He asks.

"Uh...yeah..." I say awkwardly.

"I can give you a ride there." He says, holding his hand out for me to take.

"It's not that far, I can just walk." I reply back, feeling my face flush.

"No, no, it's freezing out, I can't let you walk...please?" He reply's taking a step towards me.

I reluctantly sigh, and let him take my bag and put it in his trunk. I get in the passenger side and wait. His car really did look nice. Well kept, black interior, comfortable seats.

"Lead the way." Thomas says as he gets in the car.

I tell him the way back to my house. Once we get there, I get out and go to grab my bag. Thomas stops me, and gets it himself.

"Have a nice day. Hope to see you soon." He says handing me my bag.

"You too." I reply as I head inside. I turn around just before I close the door to see Thomas pull away and drive off.

'Maybe this is a new chapter in my life, maybe there still are good people out there.' I think to myself as I close the door.
