Chapter 9

"How was it bud?" Andy asked walking up to Charlie, Charlie looked at me as if asking for permission I nodded my head.

"It was really fun!" He answered Andy smiled.

"Let's go upstairs, and play Xbox?" He suggested Charlie grabbed his hand.

"Are the rest of the guys gonna come play too?" He asked.

"Let's ask them." Andy replied taking Charlie into the kitchen while I sat down on the couch rubbing my head.

"Thank you for taking care of him." Kate whispered sitting down next to me rubbing my arm. I nodded and smiled as Charlie practically dragged Andy, Justin, Levi, Jarrod, Dylan, and Jaime up the stairs with him. Justin gave me a wink as he walked by, and I just shook my head smiling. Kate nudged me.

"What's up with you and Justin?" She questioned I didn't really have an answer for her.

"He's really been there for me since this whole thing started." I answered shrugging my shoulders.

"You two have always been close." She observed patting my leg. I nodded she was right I don't even know how or when it happened, but Justin became very protective over me much like Tyler had. But with Justin it was always different than Tyler. I heard my stomach start growling, and I know Kate did too, because she stood up, and grabbed my hand. "Come let's get you some food." She stated leading me towards the kitchen. I sat down on the stool as Kate made a plate for me. Once she sat it in front of me she left me alone to my thoughts.

"I bet you I can finish all of this in less than ten minutes!" Tyler stated I raised an eyebrow at him.

"And I bet you can't, you made yourself way too much food! If you can even finish it in one sitting at all." I exclaimed.

"You still doubt my skills?" He questioned putting his hand over his heart pretending to be hurt I rolled my eyes at him.

"Alright fine if you can finish all that in ten minutes I will do one of your essays for you." I wagered.

"Two!" He pressed I rolled my eyes he was really starting to push his luck, but I know for a fact he couldn't finish all the food in front of him in ten minutes.

"Fine!" I agreed and we shook hands. "Starting now." I said while starting the timer on my phone. I watched in shock as he demolished a whole pizza, twelve pizza rolls, and 3 hot pockets, and even finished his whole soda with two minutes to spare.

"Told you I could do it." He stated out of breathe, and putting his head down on the table.

"I can't believe you did that." I said still shocked.

"Shouldn't have bet essays." He whispered. "I knew I had to win, because I hate essays so much you know that." He replied head still on the table, I thought he was going to be sick until I heard him start snoring heavily I just started laughing and left him there to nap.

I came back from the memory, and looked around the kitchen it was still just me in here, and without realizing it I had finished all the food that Kate had put on my plate. I washed the plate, then set it down in the sink looking out the window I was pulled into another flashback.

"Dude just do it!" Dylan yelled I was standing in the kitchen doing the dishes Tyler had all the guys over for a pool day, since it was just turning summer and it was already too hot to be outside longer than an hour unless you had a pool. Kate, and Ray were gone for the weekend, so it was just Tyler, and I at the house unless his friends were around. Then all of a sudden I saw someone fly by the window, and then a big splash I ran out onto the deck.

"What the hell?" I yelled noticing it was Tyler who had just jumped from the roof to the pool. I looked up to see Justin, and Levi on the roof as well. "Are you guys insane?" I stated.

"Oh come on Marley, it's fun! You should try it!" Jaime replied I just shook my head.

"Absolutely not! Get down here right now!" I yelled up at Justin, and Levi they gave me a look then shrugged their shoulders, and both jumped at the same time.

"Do a flip!" Tyler yelled.

"Are you okay?" My mom asked coming up behind me pulling me from my memories I turned to look at her.

"I'm not going to lie about it anymore, no I'm not entirely okay, but I'm better than I have been. At least I'm able to eat again now." I replied looking at the plate I had just washed. She embraced me in a hug, and we stayed like that for a while.

"I'm going to go lay down." I said finally letting her go she nodded her head, and I headed upstairs the boys were still playing Xbox with Charlie, so I went in Tyler's room. I shut the door, and went to his closet I found what I was looking for and took it off the hanger. His favorite black hoodie he always wore. I pulled it over my head, then went to lay down, before I knew it I had fallen asleep, even with the boys yelling over whatever game they were playing in the background it was oddly comforting to me.
