When she said she would take me somewhere, KFC was not where I thought we would end up. I sit in my little metal chair and watch as she goes up to order.

Let me surprise you, she said. It would be fun, she said. Sometimes I wonder how KFC got so popular, I never really thought that Kentucky would be the chicken representative of Earth. Let alone the place Jennie Kim deems fit to take me.

It is amusing, she left the bag on the table and told me not to look. Why would I? I have no interest in her and her boyfriend's hobbies. I am training to be an Idol, not a snake. I fiddle with the synthetic material, I thought we were supposed to stop using these. Maybe Rosie was Joking. Rosie was definitely joking.

"Hey."

I turn to see George of all people, "Hi George."

He smiles, "What brings you here?"

"Late meal, you?"

"I'm hungry," He chuckles.

"Well in that case you came to the right greasy place," I laugh.

"Fair enough," He scratches his hair, "I need to go order, will I see you in the café soon?"

"Probably, enjoy your meal," I wave.

He nods and begins to walk away, tripping over his own feet as he goes. I shake my head and return to playing with the bag, riveting entertainment I know.

Suddenly, the bag slides from my fingers, a red tray left in its place. Jennies sits opposite me, moving one of the boxes closer to me and opening the lid, revealing a chicken burger. She moves a box in front of her and starts to eat. I do the same.

"Who was that?"

I glance at her, "George."

She takes another bite of her burger, chews and swallows, "How do you know him?"

"He works at a coffee shop I like," I respond.

She looks up, "So when you said you were going to meet your friend George, you were just getting coffee."

"Yup," I respond, trying not to freak out.

"So you were lying?" Her head tilts.

"No Jennie, I-" I sigh, "We are friends, I go more for the company than the coffee."

She pauses, "So we're not good company to you?"

My back stiffens, "What are you saying? Rosie and Lisa-"

"So it is me," Her voice goes damp.

I feel defeated, "That's not what I meant."

We begin to eat our meals again, the processed meat suddenly tasting decent. If only they knew what actual vegetables were. Once again, I find myself incapable of looking at Jennie, out of fear of frostbite.
